Bassett Furniture — Local services in Greenville

So, I’m just gonna be honest here... because this continues to bother me and I don’t want anyone else to make the same mistake as us. Purchasing from Bassett was my biggest purchase regret so far in Life.

This furniture is not worth the money. My world market sofa has held up way better and was a fraction of the price.

We bought a custom leather sofa and a recliner chair, both arrived damaged but I didn’t realize just how badly. I was pregnant, so I didn’t inspect every inch as closely as I should have because I couldn’t move the chair once it was in place to inspect it better. But when they delivered the sofa and chair, I did notice some damages which I remarked on but had I seen the extent of the damage I wouldn’t have let them leave it.

They sent out a leather repair tech who fixed some areas but noted a huge tear In The leather that had been repaired poorly. It’s now all I can see. It’s been several years and All I can see is this giant crooked line in the back of the chair. . (Eventually Bassett stopped responding to my requests to have repairs done). The repair tech pointed out so many problems... I just think we got duped honestly. I think this set was either returned from someone else or I guess just damaged and they were hoping we wouldn’t notice. Ok, you win Bassett.

The furniture has not held up, the armrest is completely wrinkled (leather was not stretched correctly) since we received it, Which has had nothing to do with anybody resting an arm on it (which is what they tried to tell me after I had only had the furniture for 1 week). The leather is pulling away from the sides revealing the metal frame. This furniture gets very little use I should add. (I would also like to add that once the purchase was done, the sales rep seemed completely unconcerned with my problems so keep that in mind)

Just throwing it out there that they aren’t any better than any other furniture store. Plenty of friends have furniture through years of heavy use from kids and pets and it looks better than our few years old furniture from Bassett. Learned a hard lesson. Don’t spend large sums of money on furniture, you don’t need to, at least not here. You won’t “get what you pay for.” Hopefully I at least save one person from the...

Not the top quality furniture we were lead to believe.. The so called Design Consultant Michele Lyden is NOT as knowledgeable as she thinks. She said their furniture comes from North Carolina, wrong it is delivered from a warehouse in North Carolina. The $7100 bedroom set we purchased has a big sticker on the back stating Made in Vietnam! The reason it took so long to build is it care on a boat shipped from Vietnam. Ordered on 9/16/2023 and delivered on 12/23/2023 and one of the dressers was missing as the forgot to order it at the same time. Received missing dresser 1/2/2024 and the drawer would not close as it should, had to call send a video to customer care to verify concern and then they would send a repair technician, 1/13/2024 technician came and said the drawer slide was bent and have to order new ones. 2/1/2024 the technician came and installed the new slides and could not resolve the issue and determined the dresser was not properly put together and would have them order another dresser. 4/20/2024 new dresser delivered top drawers did not close properly on this one. Bassett sent technician out again on 5/29/2024 and determined the drawers were not square and ordered 2 new drawers. So 7/18/2024 the technician came with the 2 new drawer and installed them and adjusted for proper fit. Finally 7 months and 17 days after we received our new bedroom set it is complete. So short story Do NOT by anything from Bassett furniture !!! RUN, RUN, Run AWAY...
