Ordered a sandwich for my lunch break that was a 30 minute lunch. Keep in mind that my work that day was less than 1 mile away from the shop and most times I've ordered in the past, the sandwich was delivered within 6-8 minutes, so I figured I had plenty of time. After waiting over 25 minutes with no sign of the delivery, I called the shop to cancel it since my lunch break was nearly over. The staff member who answered the phone found it odd I hadn't had the sandwich delivered yet because they were slow that day. He looked up my order and told me it went out 12 minutes ago, so it should be there any moment. I told him I would have to cancel it as my lunch break was about to be over. He told me that they suggest to order in advance in the future and select the delivery time as the start of my lunch. Obviously this was not helpful to the current situation at hand and I would have done that if I had that ability, but I could not place the order until I was actually on my lunch. I asked him to cancel it and he acted annoyed that he would have to call the driver and tell him to bring the sandwich back. I just told him I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be charged for it since I already pre-paid online, and he told me the charge would drop off in a few days, again in an annoyed voice. The charge finally dropped off my card after a full week. The manager never apologized on the phone or had any concern whatsoever about the situation. Taking over 30 minutes to deliver a sandwich half a mile away is kind of disappointing, especially when I used my whole lunch break to wait for it and the shop had always delivered in less than 10 minutes in the past. The main concern though is the fact that the staff member didn't care at all and was rude about it over the phone. Terrible customer service. Will not...
Read morePurchased a sub over the phone. No problem with that. I called 30 minutes later and politely said I was checking on my order. I was told that it was on its way out the door. 30 minutes later I called and politey asked about the order again and was told it should be there any minute. When I explained that was on my lunch hr I was met with a polite array of excuses with no empathy or apology. When I made this observation I was told by Todd who identified himself as the owner that yes that's pretty much it. At this point I told Todd exactly what I thought of him. I found out later that Todd isn't the owner his parents are. That explains the attitude. He obviously hasn't had to build a business before so why worry about one customer even though he already took the money. I would have been fine with the wait had he set the expectation. But he left it as well to bad there's more customers out there. Will never patron woods crossing again and will steer everyone I can from that location. Ok so here is an update. Its the next day and Still haven't received a refund. This...
Read moreI've not eaten here but I work near this location. The delivery drivers are known for "fast delivery" and they do serve orders quickly. The only way I know this is by HOW the delivery drivers drive. I've observed on multiple occasions and during lunch hours, they are driving erratically along Patewood and Congaree Roads. In fact, just today, I had a gold colored car with a Jimmy Johns sign attached to the roof, run a stop sign in my office complex, almost hit an oncoming vehicle, and pulled in behind me. As I turned right and stopped at a red light, he stepped on the gas, crossing 4-lanes on Patewood, while cutting into traffic and in-between cars with approximately a 2-car distance between them --- heading back in the direction of the store.
Fast delivery is a great thing. However, safe driving is far more important than a $6 sub sandwich or the cost of other peoples lives. I refuse to eat here simply because of how the delivery drivers...
