McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Greenville

I love coming to this location and woodruff rd. The workers and management staff are always friendly. Service is always quick, my food is always hot and looking like the pictures that advertise it on the menu and when I have salads it’s always as I ordered it. The workers’ hygiene is always clean (I watch to make sure), they are friendly. They keep the line moving when very busy and they work together. I’m quite hard to please and impress so if a place gets five stars from me they deserve it. When I’ve eaten in or picked up an order they’ve gone above and beyond! My salad greens are always fresh no brown withering or yesterday salads I’ve never had to ask for it to be made again. Both restaurant locations have always been clean when I eat in, floors chairs and tables, the workers often clean up and the managers at both locations I’ve observed help take orders and make food and meals. The food pricing I feel is very reasonably priced. You get a lot of food for the pricing, even a small spud is big to me. I love their soups mmmmm they are never greasy or hard none of that I’ve been sitting in the soup pot since this morning or yesterday stuff it’s always fresh. And their tea sweet and unsweet is by far the best mmmm. I got a salad today it was $8 and some change of course I added something extra and after tax my meal was $10 and some change but that salad was huge and I have some left for dinner. I love the...

T'was a funny wait here - Zack received me very friendly and supportive waiting at the counter in an otherwise almost empty restaurant - around 6pm on a Monday. There were but a few customers seated at two tables, another Doordasher came in later. Even more so, I was quite surprised yet amused that a staff of chef, cashier and 2 waitresses somehow needed about 5 mins to figure out which order matched which dishes. Hint for the chef: you kinda overwhelmed them with your speed: 3 orders ready at once was seemingly just to much. Maybe it was really just due to the lack of customers and the thus missing flow feeling. The food I took out however had a great taste to it (Rachel, the small sis of Reuben and cucumber tomato salad) I would love to have a full-sized option of that salad, I am going to check on that next time. I came into and was having a bad day and so I was in a mood and didn't know quite what I wanted. So then this Manger comes up with a smile on his face. He introduced himself and was very polite Randy that's its I remember because I have an uncle by that name. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me select a sandwich which was the jalapeno crunch which was delicious btw and he even came over to ask if I needed any refills and if i was enjoying my sandwich and he made me feel at home. Hopefully he's there on my next visit because I will tell all my friends and family about the great hospitality I was shown while I was there. I even forgot about my bad day I was having because of his humbleness. We need more people like him in that industry.
