establishment seems fairly clean, tables were regularly wiped down while i was here upon receiving my cup for coffee and muffin order prior to entering the establishment, i noticed the self serving area for drinks was out of liquid sugar syrup, which is literally insignificant as far as being an issue; i walk up to the counter and ask the girl working if they had more, and she answers that theyll bring more out in a minute
but then another employee asks what it is i wanted (asking the other employee, so worded as "what did she want" ) she says syrup, and the other person grabs the syrup in the back, and kinda shove/slid it towards me, and said "here" i ask if theyd like for me to put it out there, or leave it, which the first girl replies while obviously having a conversation with the second person, (meaning not looking at me or showing any standard customer service) to "leave it there"
im like okay well thank you, which she replies curtly, "yeah"
they did replace the syrup shortly after, so efficiency was up to a typical standard
later on, an employee came to my table and wiped the table down all around except where my computer was occupying. though it was no real bother, it was a bit strange, she pushed my coffee in order to wipe the table in the spots she did, (im sitting at a small round table, alone, an acceptable spot for a single dine in customer)
the thing that bothered me about this, truthfully, was that i picked my coffee up to assist her task of wiping tables, and said "sorry"
it was if she looked through me, said nothing, at all, whatsoever, and showed no emotion or acknowledgement that i had spoke to her (literally dont get me wrong, i dont feel as though they insulted my ancestors bc they didnt particularly care i had said anything, but it is bad customer service, at the end of the day. i say that, as a food industry veteran, ive worked every form of FOH as well as managed, and though nothing was done "wrong", it gave a terrible sense of my business/presence wasnt important enough for basic acknowledgement, which, can easily put other individuals, whom, lack the ability to understand, that, it is sincerely not that deep, into a mentality that they feel they need to complain, act rudely, or write a vicious review. i realize this is me complaining in a review, but truthfully its better to speak on it, without cursing any employees or management, if it means it can be viewed as constructive criticism, and not aggressive criticism.
PSA its never okay to cuss out people handing your food, for anybody reading this thinking it might be acceptable, for whatever reason, at all, whatsoever. (directed at those reading this on google)
my muffin was also very dry, but not worth attempting to have it swapped for a fresher pastry, so with a couple drops of my coffee,...
Read moreThese people lack listening skills, reading skills, and just simply don't follow direction. Giving them a 3rd chance to make it right, enough is enough and I will go elsewhere. First mess up was getting an order delivered and the salad was completely missing, Second was specifically asking for Homestyle chicken noodle with chips for the side and instead getting broccoli cheddar soup with bread, and now the third time and it wasn't a charm.......made online order for pickup on curbside. Got notification that my order was ready at 11:12 am. Got there at 11:18 let them know I arrived and punched in the parking number 4 so my order can be brought out. As time goes by and seeing other curbside orders come and go, I get out and walk inside to see what the deal is because it is now 11:47 and still no food. ( a bowl of soup with chips and thats all). I go inside and asked a young lady could she check on my order in and gave my info and showed my email for confirmation of order being completed and ready. She goes and comes back to say, your order has been completed are you sure it was this location ? Are you serious! I just showed you the confirmation of order and location! So she asked another lady for help and she states your order was given to the wrong car.....sooooo you don't read the names and description of vehicles on the receipt in which its asked to be input for curbside orders before it is placed online? The lady states, We are sorry, we will make a new order for you. Would you like a cookie or pastry for your inconvenience? Nope, I want my order right and it is never correct at this location. If I wanted a a cookie or pastry I would have ordered one....geesh. So I will now drive an extra 10 minutes and go to Atlanta Bread Company and not have to deal with the headache. Never had an order wrong in the 3 years I worked in the same plaza as them before I relocated. Maybe if you keep employee's off their phones and get them to pay attention and follow or read simple instructions, a lot of mishaps...
Read moreFood is good, but pricey and the management is not up to par. Leaves their associates to drown while they CLEARLY stay in the back during peak hours. Asked for a manager, and expect to wait about 5 minutes until one is FINALLY found. Going outside to even look? Really? Associates are likely to have 'bad integrity' when not overseen and left to the masses on their own. Most of the customer service from this place comes from frustrated associates who don't care about their customers SOLEY because of their managers. If their managers don't work when it gets busy, hide in the back when short staffed, leave work early, don't listen to valid complaints from anyone, cut corners, I mean seriously. Would you expect them to be anything but what they see from their leadership? Most of this staff is younger people. Their first jobs. And this is the example they see? I feel bad for the whole staff. And to boot. Associates the upper management 'dont like' get targeted till they quit. You name it. Shortening of hours, increase in work load, written write ups for the smallest of things, etc. No coaching. No praising. No teamwork. And don't ask for help from the District Manager of this region. You can clearly tell when dealing with someone who sees himself above approach from the general population. The most frustrating experience when talking to a person who hears you, but doesn't listen. Nor cares. ETO alone is over a 100% at this location. This is NOT an ideal environment for anyone, associate or customer. Much better off going to ANY other Panera then this one. Better Buisness Bureau could have a field day on this single store. Current General Manager was demoted and removed FINALLY. My god. Took her running it into the ground first. But you know what they say. You get what you give. Hopefully this company makes better business decisions...
