Just wanted to share my experience with the restaurant’s Bartender Courtney. A $20 tip on a $25 bill was well deserved. Not because of the experience I had, but from my observation, from the experience the 11 other patrons (not my skin color) got to experience. This tip wasn’t earned because you took my order while sitting down, not making direct eye contact & rolling silverware. It wasn’t earned when you served my drink from a plastic cup (unlike all the other 11 patrons with glasses). It wasn’t earned when you brought my appetizer with no cutlery. It wasn’t earned when you brought my entree with no offer of salt & pepper or anything else for that matter (unlike the young lady at the bar on your right). It wasn’t earned when EVERY time you served me or I asked you a question it WASN’T met with your beautiful smile (unlike the other 11 patrons). It wasn’t earned when you DIDN’T check on me once (unlike the group of 3 gentleman sitting directly in front of me…you were literally giggling the entire time with them). It wasn’t earned when you brought my check, to go box & bag (that I didn’t ask for yet) before my second bite. It wasn’t earned when I waited & waited & waited and finally had to bring my payment method to the bar area to checkout. It wasn’t earned when I continued to sit at the table (while writing this review) & you still didn’t come by & check on me or ask how my experience was (even as you pranced right passed me & served the gentleman on my left who had the sandwich & fries). I chose to GIVE you something in the form of a tip that you NEVER earned with the thoughtless, nonchalant & passive-aggressive experience you offered me….by the way, I chose NOT to accept it (hence the tip you DIDN’T EARN). It is my hope that me providing my feedback will in turn help you realize & deeply think about what experiences you come to offer someone else that may come through the doors of Cambria Hotels that may have my same skin color &/or someone that is willing to BLESS & credit others who provide GREAT service. I sure hope the other 11 patrons received their money’s worth…..I know I DID...
Read moreWhere is the professionalism at this place. I walked in around 9:30 am 12/01/23. I walk up to the bar and sat down to order breakfast. I see a lady on the other side of the bar but she isn't dressed in hotel or bar attire so I can't tell if she is an employee or not. Her head is set dead into her phone. I waited 5 minutes and then I walk up to the check-in desk to ask if the restaurant was opened. With a sassy attitude she says "Yes for breakfast....you don't see that girl standing over there" She clearly didn't want to be disrupted by a paying customer at that moment. So I go back to the bar to sit down. The lady who was dead in her phone walks up and hands me a menu without greeting me at all. Braids hanging down and she had an attitude like she didn't want to be bothered. I look at the menu for a couple of minutes. She talks to me from the register about 10 yards away "Do you know what you want?" I said yes....She wanted me to yell my order from 10 yards away. I got the hell up out of that ghetto ran moment. Maybe this place is great for breakfast. I wouldn't know because I got treated like I knocked on someone's door at 3am to ask for a lighter and...
Read moreSad experience all around. I sat in the main dining area (which had food all over the floor) an hour before breakfast ended. The server was nowhere to be seen. When she finally came out from the back she said, “You’re awfully far away.” So, I moved to the bar but that didn’t make the service any better. The waitress was in the kitchen more than out with patrons. Whenever anyone asked for something, even as simple as a straw, she would not respond but begrudgingly get it in silence. Patrons were apologizing for asking for water. I was given no drink; it was too much effort. When the food came out, it was so sad. The “over-medium” eggs were over-hard and were fried black around the edge like they were cooking in a pool of grease. The potatoes were so overcooked, it was like eating croutons. Next time, I will go...
