Super fast place with friendly staff. The kara age was plentiful and well cooked. The sauce was not very authentic, though. It should have been served with Japanese mayonnaise, but it tasted like some kind of ranch. Was much better to avoid the sauce.
The ramen was good size and had fresh toppings. The chashu pork was braised and was very tasty. The noodles were cooked to near perfection. The chicken was cooked well, but nothing special, and certainly not something that should be on authentic Japanese ramen. The broth was fake. The Spicy Miso was make with light chicken sauce, and we couldn’t taste and miso. It was also very spicy and tasted more like something from a Thai place. The ingredients were a strange, and the egg was poached instead of medium boiled. The tonkotsu ramen was very creamy, but was also made with a combination of chicken stock and premade tonkotsu stock. Again, this was not very authentic. The bokchoi was large and a little difficult to eat. It would have been better if it was the smaller variant.
Most people aren’t going to be familiar with real Japanese Ramen, and may not know the difference. There are a few places it town were you can get authentic Japanese Ramen, and it tastes a lot different than the ramen served here. Taken by itself, though, this place is...
Read moreI normally like Asuka, but I won't be back. I ordered what I normally order, the Katsu curry pork. The girl took my order, read it back to me, then I paid, tipped and waited. Then I waited some more. All the people that ordered after me got there food and finished before I got mine. The girl looked at me and said what did you order again? This is after 20 minutes of waiting. That being said I got up after another 5 minutes and said can I get extra pork since you clearly forgot to make my food? The guy said no, yours takes way longer bc you have to fry the pork. Straight lied to my face. I watched him put the pork in the fryer and it took 3 minutes to cook. They don't make things right, when they mess up. They just lie to you. That's not how a business is run properly and I'll make sure to tell...
Read moreAs a Poke lover, I have been to this place several times. To be honest, it's not my number one choice, but since it's very close to my house it's a good alternate option. However a few weeks ago I was craving Pho and I missed the exit to my favorite place. So I decided to try the Ramen here instead as I had heard great things. I tried the spicy creamy ramen and let me tell you it was great. I have been to Japan and had the most authentic Ramen you could have, so it's hard to compare. But out of the places I have been to in town, this place has the best broth. The chicken in the dish was a little dry, but very tasty. Also tried the Spinach cheese wonton which was great and different. Not a very fancy place, but worth the food. Higly recommend if you are...
