Purple-haired girl at register got totally confused at a two-piece order.

I ordered a Bobby to go, and a chicken cheesesteak to eat there.

I ordered the Bobby exactly per the menu, and I asked for simple modifications to the chicken cheesesteak to change the cheese and hold the peppers.

This immediately confused her, so I had to clarify that it was a chicken cheesesteak and on a regular cheesesteak, and that I didn't want peppers, and that I did want the mushrooms and the onions, and I wanted to change the cheese.

When the total came up it didn't make any sense. So I brought it to her attention.

She redid the order and the total seemed more appropriate. However when I looked at my printed receipt I saw that she had changed the cheese but had left the peppers and held the mushrooms.

It took me a minute to flag her down, because as soon as she completed my transaction she disappeared into the back somewhere.

When I did catch sight of her I called her over to tell her that the order was incorrect. Her immediate response was to give me attitude and blame me for her mistake. Because apparently I was confused about what I asked for.

I'm usually more than happy to work out a mistake, because they happen. But the immediate attitude from her was unacceptable and I told her I wanted a refund and I would leave.

Apparently she doesn't know how to do that so she disappeared into the back again for 10 minutes or so to figure out how to do a simple refund transaction.

I don't know if the food is any good, as I wasted half of my lunch hour waiting, and walked out without anything to eat. The service comes with attitude, and making simple changes to your order is apparently very very confusing. Maybe it's just the genuine Philly experience.

My coworkers will be wondering how it was, and I'll be...

Having opened up pretty recently, myself and a few other coworkers ordered delivery last week and we were impressed with the food, even if it was a little pricey. Wanting to check out the location for myself, but not having very much time on my lunch break I ordered for pickup on Sunday the 24th. I placed my order about 15 minutes before I headed over, but when I got there it still wasn’t ready. From what I could tell it was extremely disorganized and it ended up taking an extra 20 minutes of waiting around to even get my food, which I distinctly watched the employee prepare, put in a food service container, then put it in the warm storage, not even asking if it was mine. Eventually I got my order, and was willing to overlook the inconvenience because I too have worked in food service and understand rushes. However, the main reason I’m being so harsh on this review, is the food I ordered (large wagyu fries) (pic below) came out like this. Just a lump of random assorted meat slapped on a bed of dead fries. To make things worse, you can tell there’s chunks of Pastrami in my Wagyu fries? Thankfully I’m not allergic or anything but I can’t stand pastrami and this ruined the overall food for me. I was really hoping that Capriottis would fill the void that this neighborhood needed for a solid sand which shop, but given my experience today I unfortunately do not see myself spending my money here...

I recently visited Capriotti's Sandwich Shop for the first time, and it certainly won't be my last. I tried three sandwiches: the Cole Turkey, American Wagyu Slaw Be Jo, and American Wagyu Roast Beef. Each one was absolutely delicious.

The Cole Turkey stood out with its perfect balance of tender turkey, fresh coleslaw, and a touch of sweetness from the cranberry sauce. It was a delightful combination of flavors and textures.

The American Wagyu Slaw Be Jo was a treat with its juicy, high-quality wagyu beef paired with a crunchy, tangy slaw. The richness of the wagyu was complemented beautifully by the fresh slaw, making every bite satisfying.

Finally, the American Wagyu Roast Beef was exceptional. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the sandwich was crafted with care, ensuring a great mix of ingredients that highlighted the premium wagyu.

Overall, Capriotti's impressed me with their flavorful and well-made sandwiches. I'm already looking forward to...

They put the soup at the bottom of the bag, and now my car smells like French dip. The bag clearly wasn’t waterproof, so it leaked everywhere, stained my seats, and soaked everything else. To make it worse, they stacked four sandwiches right on top of the soup, so now everything’s covered in it. What’s wild is they did use a separate bag for a salad and fries. You’d think the soup the one thing that’s hot, heavy, and leak-prone would’ve gone in there instead. It’s small stuff like this that adds up. I spent $60 and ended up with a mess to clean and a car that smells like beef broth. Just frustrating, especially when it could’ve been avoided with a little more care in packing. and when I was taking the photo, the bag smells like dog food when wet, so nice!
