I have never been more disgusted at how I was treated at an Einstein's location than I was today.
My wife and I stopped in to get a couple of bagels on Sunday, 9/1, at about 10:15 am. Immediately you could tell something was off with the store. The bagels were about 1/3 stocked and the cooler was nearly empty. I understand it's a Sunday morning but do you not plan for a large rush? No employees were working up front; all were on the back counter. Eventually someone said "they'll help you at the other register." Okay, fine. We walk over to the other register. An employee grudgingly walked over and took our order. I made the mistake of ordering a cinnamon sugar bagel which they were out of and she made a flippant remark about being out of the bagel. Fine, I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel.
Now the wait came. And came. And came. It was at nearly 10 minutes and I noticed the two orders behind me were both filled. I finally had enough and asked the employee where my order was. It was the same one who took my order. She said "oh it's coming." Another 3 to 4 minutes ticks by and ANOTHER person who ordered behind me got their order. Finally, I had enough. I asked for my money back. No apology. No explanation. Just a quick refund and out the door I went.
I have never been so disgusted with how I was treated. I want to know, what will Einstein Bros Bagels do to...
Read moreI have been patient and understanding of the Caribou coffee buyout and transition. I have accepted the fact that I will never again taste "Autumn Blend". I have accepted the changing decor. I don't fear change...as long as the change is actually for the better. My last three visits have finally broke me. If a business can't get something very technical right I don't blame them, but the last three times with different crew people I have asked for something so very simple it has dumbfounded me each time they have gotten it wrong. I have asked for nothing huge...just CREAM CHEESE ON THE SIDE, PLEASE. It's not outlandish. It's not difficult and EACH TIME they can't get it right. The one time that made me realise this business is is dire trouble was when the gentleman preparing it literally asked me, "So, wait...i want to make sure I get this right because it sounds weird...you want salad dressing and cream cheese on your bagel?" "No, I just want cream cheese ON THE SIDE." "Oh, ok. I knew that sounded wrong." There was a bright momwnt there when I believed the employee would actually fulfill my request because we had just discussed it, but NO. If you get that wring once I'm forgiving, twice I start getting wary, three time and you've lost my business because you can't get something so simple right. Half your business is the cream cheese...putting it on the side...
Read moreBelieve me when I say all the comments on here about the staff being rude, incompetent, slow, or all of the above is very true. The only reason I come to this location is because it is conveniently close to my work, but it's just not worth it anymore. The staff always makes me feel like I'm being a bother, like I'm being annoying coming in and ordering something because now they have to step away from chatting with each other to make my sandwich, although it takes them two to three times longer to make the sandwich, and then usually it's wrong. I don't know why management isn't taking the reviews for their business seriously, but something needs to change, the people working here act like they don't even want to be here, and in my opinion if you don't want to do the job you're being paid for, you shouldn't do it. If you don't like doing a customer-facing job don't do it, don't come into the business and make customers feel like an inconvenience. I'll be communicating with the corporate office as well, since people leaving reviews about the low performance of their employees doesn't seem to have done anything so far. Avoid this location at all costs. I always have great experiences at their other locations, so trust me when I say the extra couple miles to drive to those instead of this one will...
