I was super excited to find a dairy queen eight mins from the restaurant for our bday parties. I asked which cake would be better since we can't see them in drive thru. The young lady said she had to be nice because her grandpa made them. I should have taken that as a sign but flavor is key and we had some sprinkles so if it was that bad then we could cover it. She was sweet as gold and even offered to write on the cake she did well and I thank her for her kindness, without her energy that day I'd think everyone was negative but she is the reason for a second star an not one star based on how I was treated after and the item itself.
The sides were broken icing and it was decorated in a cooled car on the drive to the restaurant, we just covered the broken look with sprinkles and placed a cake topper it was a candle unicorn horn it went thru almost half the cake and was tipping the cake was so soft it made me uncomfortable so distracted while driving but no time to sir back in their drive thru for help and i figured it would set up in the freezer at the restaurant.
They froze it for us for a couple of hours while we enjoyed ourselves then the moment of cake, it was not able to have clean slices it was so melted it just was like scooping up a milk shake that's been left in the sun.
I called the next day since they were closed by the time we go to cut it. The manager was so nasty and short with me kept making smart comments despite being kind and professional to her. I finally asked her about the negative remarks interrupting me while I'm talking including saying how do I know it was eight mins to the restaurant and not 20, how do I know it was stored right ect. It was off putting.
She said she doesn't have a resolution I'm seeking (I never named one just asked if we can come to a resolution). I was told to email pics so I sent three with my phone but let them know I could have the ones from the main phone used and the cutting video on my nieces phone sent this weekend when I see her, she was in school when they asked me and gave an aol.com email. I have yet to hear back so I can only assume they are still being rude and dismissive.
Doesn't make me want to recommend them or return but doesn't seem like they care either way so that's fine. I hope they all have a wonderful day and realize everyone isn't out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is freaking awful. We came for ice cream, we usually go to a different one but was by this one so we stopped in. We stood there for a min and as we were ordering I looked behind the counter to the kitchen area and saw a guy standing there making stuff WITH NO SHIRT ON!!!!!! That alone is disgusting and isnāt appropriate in a fast food/ice cream shop. The guy at the counter was just miserable. He had an attitude and you could tell he hates his job. We got my daughter a small choc & I could tell when they sat it on the counter that it was extra āsoftā. I got a blizzard and he just sat it on the table. At our DQ & almost all Iāve been to, they always flip it over to show itās a good blizzard. He didnāt and thatās probably because he knew if he did, it would all fall out. It was very soft too, not like a usual blizzard and the cookie dough pieces were kind of hard. We went to the bathroom and the toilets were filthy, we washed our hands and the sink sprayed in every direction & there was no paper towels so we had to dry them on my clothes š¤¦š»āāļø this place definitely needs looked into, ran better or shut down. All the people there are miserable & on top of the half naked guy prepping food in the back (I tried to take a picture but my fiancĆ© wouldnāt let me š ) , the girl working had very very long hair only tied in a long pony tail so I can imagine it was going everywhere or it surely looked like it was.. Absolutely Terrible experience and would recommend going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was with my daughter, had exactly enough cash and coins for a certain item that my daughter wanted. We asked for a sundae with fudge and sprinkles. The lady did not mention that the sprinkles were $0.75 extra and if she had I would have not asked for sprinkles as had cash only for the price listed on screen. She charged us extra and i didnt have the cash for it so I asked her if she could take off the sprinkles since I didnt realize they were extra. The menu didnt say what was or not included and I assume if it wasnt included the lady would say, "hey this only comes with 1 topping, not 2, would you like to add a second for .75?" then I could have said no.
She told me she wasnt going to take the sprinkles off. So I asked her to remake the item without sprinkles and she told me that she wasnt going to do that either because it would be wasteful.
I told her she didnt tell me that the sprinkles were extra and could she either take them off the bill or remake the item. She then leaned out the window and said to me "Nothing in this world is free" I was shocked at her response and said that we had no cash for the extra. I told her I had never been treated so rudely especially over $0.75. I drove off and my 9 yr old absolutely refuses to go to dairy queen now. I have never been back. This incident was earlier this year but I never forgot and the woman...
