Diabolical shame of a restaurant. We waited 10 minutes to be addressed in the least. The kitchen staff had to notify serving staff that we had waited beyond a socially acceptable time frame to be waited on. The BEYOND subpar food came quickly probably because it was barely heated. Our “server” went on break and left us with remaining “staff”- whom acted as though they were not clocked in at all- that failed to check on us for half an hour. When I approached bar to pay the $100+ lunch tab, I asked if we could add a couple more beverages, and then the fill in said that she could not make those right now due to being busy with imaginary tasks. I didn’t demand drinks to be made right away, but I tried to have this incompetent woman add drinks to total tab to actually save her a step.
I am a bartender and am typically extremely patient and gracious, but I have physically never been turned away from earning an establishment money or met an opposition to patron satisfaction.
Literally sitting here in dismay. The vibration in this restaurant seems tense and aloof. Very disappointed but more so shocked at the irreverence and dishonor to the field of hospitality.
Update: she came back 15 minutes later to order drinks I had mentioned. She asked if we wanted her to use same glasses and I requested new (as the previous was quarter full of drink) and then she informed me I would have to wait longer for clean glasses. She said it was her coworkers’ faults for leaving on break and I informed her that had little to no impact of her mistreatment of the public.
Never asked if we needed anything else but did promptly drop off a check. Yet we took up space in this restaurant for 2 hours very necessarily. Again a failure on their part to understand profit margins (flipping tables) and hospitable experience.
I cannot make this up. Easily the Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many...
Read moreI have never been treated so rudely as I was by the waitress today!! I was with my family for my daughter’s birthday, her choice. I ordered a large soup, the one that comes with all meals. The server brought out everyone’s soup but mine. She said she was the only one working and would have to go back to get it. No big deal. Then she goes to the front to check someone out waits on several other tables. My mother, who is 63 years old, ask her if she could bring my soup. She’s currently cleaning off another table. She turns around and snaps that she’s the only one and would get it shorty. 10-15 minutes later she finally brings out the soup. Forgets my daughters sushi. My fiancé ask for a dish for the soy sauce and she hands us one she just cleaned off another table!!!! There was a total of 4 tables 2 of which were at the end of their meal. I have worked in the service industry prior and always over tip. Due to the nasty attitude of the waitress we did not leave a tip. She comes out the door once we leave and proceeded to tell me how rude my mother was!!! An argument took place between the two of us until I finally just leave. Food was great but we will...
Read moreI stopped here to eat solo one evening while in Greenwood. The food was only okay but, the service was horrible! And I mean horrible! Despite sitting at a small 2 person table alone, it dent like they wanted to rush me out before I had finished eating. Not my absent waitress but the head cashier brought me the check and asked if there was anything else I wanted, before all of my food had even been served. She got upset when I asked for the rest of my dinner! She disappeared and then returned only to sort of toss My food onto the table. Where was my waitress in all of this? I don't know. She only addresses me 2 times the entire evening. The food? My steak was cooked well done after ordering it rare and there was a salad that was more accurately a bowl of ginger dressing-soup with some lettuce in it. That's not an examination. I could have used a spoon instead of a fork. Overall, it was an uncomfortable dinner and very disappointing experience from Greenwood.
Edit: I wanted to add that the portions of the steak hibachi dinner were not very large neither. I left still...
