I typically don’t leave negative reviews. However, I’ve never, ever had such a terrible restaurant experience. The waitress took my drink order (coke) and brought me water instead of coke. As she took my food order, I reminded her that I ordered coke. She later returned with a sweet tea & asked “did you order tea?”. Answered “no ma’am” once again I reminded her that I ordered a coke. I continued drinking the water and eating chips thinking that she was going to bring me the coke. Twenty minutes and an empty cup of water later she (waitress) walks by and says “I’ll bring you some more water”. At this point I had given up on the coke and accepted that I was going to drink water with my meal. An additional ten minutes goes by, she comes to my table and ask what “what food did you order?”. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing so I asked her to repeat it...again I heard “What food did you order, what combination?”. Her question and tone indicated that she forgot to submit my order to the kitchen or the kitchen lost my order. At this point I had been waiting for more than thirty minutes and was so over giving this place a try. I told her that thirty minutes had past and I still don’t have the coke that I ordered even though I had reminded her a few times, she never returned with a water refill and now she or kitchen lost my order. I told her that I was going to leave because of continuous mistakes. One would think a waitress would apologize and try to salvage the customer. Not her, her reply was a stern “okay!”. I can’t review the coke because I never received it, I can’t review the food because I never received it. The service was horrendous. The chips and salsa was mediocre at best. It’s a sad day when the highlight of a restaurant experience is single cup of water. This restaurant needs to have this waitress evaluated...
Read moreTonight was the Very First Time My Fiancé and I have eaten at EL CENTENARIO. We had Friends come with us, there First time eating here also. The Food, Drinks and the Service were the WORST any of us have Ever Experienced in Any Mexican, Latino Restaurant. We had to Ask Numerous Times for Chips & Salsa. I tried to Order A Spicy Cheese Dip, the server just looked at me?? I asked her if they had/served Spicy Cheese Dip, she replied; "so you want a few jalapeños in it"? " I can ask the kitchen if they will do that."???? My Cheese Dip NEVER Came. When has any Mexican Restaurant NEVER Had Spicy Cheese Dip?? Two of us Ordered A Lime Margarita, there was NO ALCOHOL in either, but We Were Definitely Charged For Them. I had also Ordered a Shot of Grand Marnier which was NEVER brought, we asked that it be taken off the Bill. One of us Ordered A Coconut Margarita, it could not be drank, it was Absolutely Nasty. It took at Least 4 Servers, 5 different times to bring our Dinner. We had to continue to ask for our food that was missing. Three of us Ordered "Street Corn" or Mexican Elote(Esquite), When it came to the Table it was NOTHING Like The Photo Advertised. It was Whole Kernal Corn On A Plate, Drizzeled With Something White and A Lime On the Plate. Overall, the Prices Were Entirely To Expensive, The Food Was Less Than Acceptable, The Adult Beverages Were Nothing More Than Extremely Overpriced Fruit Juice and The Service Was The Absolute Worst. We were NEVER given the opportunity to Speak To A Manager, this Individual Didn't "Have Time"??? This Restaurant Was Not Busy At All, Lots of Open Tables, Employees Standing Around. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE. THE MONEY WE SPENT THERE WAS EXTREMELY "HARD EARNED", A BIG WASTE AND A BIGGER...
Read moreThis used to be a fantastic place - would come once a week almost. The salsa and cheese dip are the best in Greenwood. However, the past three times we’ve been, the service has been so abysmally slow and inattentive. Last time, we arrived at 1:15pm and it was almost 2:15pm before we got our food. The other day, we decided to try it again and give them the benefit of the doubt, arrived at 6:30pm for dinner and it was another 45 min before we got our food. The waitresses only came by the table once to refill our drinks for lunch. The cheese dip was ice cold and we had to ask for it to be heated up, and the food has come out lukewarm at best. I wish this place was as good as it used to be!
EDIT 3/2/25 (3 to 4 stars)- I have been once since this review, and the servers were much more attentive and friendly. The food didn’t take as long to arrive but still longer than most. However, the food is good here and I haven’t had any issues with it. I really like their chimichangas. I plan on trying it again!
EDIT 5/18/25 (4 to 2 stars) - Cheese dip was ice cold again. Food took forever to arrive. When it finally did, it was cold, bland, and underseasoned. We wanted to try this place again upon passing through but it’s just not worth it when there’s so many better options. It’s just inconsistant and pretty much a repeat of my original review....
