Big Town Hero — Restaurant in Gresham

There are currently 3 people in the kitchen making sandwiches, the couple before me and I have been waiting 10 minutes. The lady waiting to pick up an ubereats order has been here for 7. There seems to be no organization in the kitchen. A customer asked how long the wait would be and the guy at the counter said, “I don’t know.” And then turned to the guy in the kitchen to ask him. The guy helping people at the counter has been fairly rude and sarcastic. Someone made a rude comment about the wait while leaving, and the guy at the counter shouted back a sarcastic comment. Overall the service isn’t great and no one can seem to figure out what they should be doing. Usually I have a great experience here, but not today. The guy working the counter was tall, with long hair in a ponytail and the sides shaved. Now he’s just in the kitchen talking bad about the ubereats driver. Very unprofessional. Oh, and I’m still waiting. It is now 20 minutes after ordering. I don’t even want to ask to speak to a manager because no one working here is acting...

I used to love coming here on my lunch breaks, but the quality has just significantly declined over the years to the point where the ingredients they use are borderline rotten. The ingredients are just old and stale now, nothing fresh in the store. I'm not sure if they are having revenue problems, but they really need to go back to using fresh ingredients again. I recently ordered their Turkey, bacon, avocado and was extremely disappointed. The avocado was rock hard and was like trying to chew on gravel. The bacon had a thin layer of slime over it and was either cooked and put into the fridge with the grease that congealed, or was bordering on rotten as well. The avocado was a brown/dark green color meaning it likely sat in the fridge for 3-4 days after being sliced and was bordering on rotten. It used to be a fantastic sandwich shop and I hope they...

Service was fine, sandwich did not take too long to come out. Got a panini. Was told that they WOULD NOT provide a chicken panini, and suggested a turkey panini instead. I ordered with extra bacon. When I got the sandwich, the "extra" bacon looked more like a normal amount of bacon. The bacon itself was paper thin, no crunch and had some elasticity. Not my favorite kind of bacon. Also, there was no seasoning whatsoever. Incredibly bland sandwich.

With extra bacon and avocado, the sandwich came out to $11.45.

The good: the sandwich was cooked well, with a crispy outside and soft inside. It was definitely hot and the avocado was really fresh (even though they grilled the sandwich with the avocado in it creating a piping hot avocado situation that was less than ideal.)
