Ok KFC isnāt a five star restaurant. Itās kind of my secret girlfriend from the wrong side of the tracks that I connect with on a deeper level that friends and family canāt endorse. I love fried chicken. There I said it.
I try not to eat it more than a couple times a month. Itās overpriced but not if you take the time to find the specials. For example Monday nights are 50 cent wing night. No you donāt get to meet Fifty Cent there but you can get 20 wings for 10 bucks.
Thatās not the reason I gave this KFC a five though. I just moved to Gresham from 129th and Glisan. I used to go to the KFC on 122nd and Glisan. Three months before I moved I boycotted. Iām sure nobody noticed. I was hurt because I would go there and the people that worked there were typically miserable and sometimes overtly rude. After the last straw I quit going there. Couldnāt stand spending money when someone sighs when they see me. Just doesnāt do much for my appetite. Anyway, I moved to Gresham and checked this KFC lifting my boycott on a probationary basis. I went in and BOOM I heard what I wanted to hear. āHello welcome to KFC, what can I get you....or do you need some more time?ā Very nice lady. She took my order, joked around about something but not to the point of ,āalright leave me alone.ā And, the food was out quick. Been back there twice breaking my ācouple times a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame into restaurant at 3:00pm. Wanted original 6 wing meal. Only had 4 orig & 2 crispy. She said we could wait 20min for more to cook. I decided on pot pie. My husband was trying to decide what he wanted. He was really looking forward to the original chicken. She then told us, our cook is on lunch break & it would be an extra15min. While we were deciding, she suggested we could go to the Sandy location. I told her we live in Gresham & that was too far. Then she suggested we go to the one on 122nd! Can you believe that!!! All this time, she was having another worker (girl), do all the checking. We decided pot pie meal, 6pc 4 orig/2 crunchy. Then they looked on the lower shelf & saw they have plenty of crunchy. I said, I will take the 6pc crunchy meal also. You could she was getting annoyed. She slammed down the drink cup on the counter. Threw the oven doors open, took from one shelf, push that back in, hard, got more from another shelf. Slammed door closed. We paid. I don't think she said thank you. But we said it. If it was crowded & we were holding up a line, I could see her getting a little concerned about time, BUT, there was no one else in the building. No one was there, when we came in or when we left. Plus no one was even at the driver up window! I'm assured you will deal with this manner. We want...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEvery time we go here I order the same thing. Large popcorn chicken combo. EVERY time we are served by the manager, he gives us small fries. Every time. We have brought it to his attention multiple times when ordering and when we do, he'd give us a snarky response, Every time. We'd ask for the fries to be large on the order and he'd say "yeah, they come large" and would STILL give us small fries. Absolutely terrible and disrespectful service and I feel bad for feeling the need to post this because he has gotten slightly nicer over time, but I'm sick of it happening every time we go there now. We stopped asking because we are tired of the snarky response met with what is still the wrong order. I shouldn't have to worry about my order being wrong every single time. He makes us feel bad for simply asking for my order to be made the right way and it's not okay at all. When I wouldn't ask in the first place if I wasn't constantly getting small fries with my large order. And this has been happening for months. Manager either get your stuff together and please drop the attitude when people ask for things to be made right or get a new manager that is actually nice and can do their job right. It wouldn't be as annoying if this hasn't happened multiple times. But especially the snarky responses are not okay in...
