If you live in Gretna you know that there no Chinese restaurants nearby, now that Dragon Wok Express is open that need is fulfilled, but before they get a full 5star they have a few tiny kinks to work out. The good- you don’t get my review on the first visit but it was a great visit. I ordered on toast, probably the best ordering app- you can literally Customize which is so hard on other apps. The order was ready when I arrived. the manager and counter gal, we’re super friendly. The first order garlic beef, hot and fresh! A little spicy at a level 1, but real good. Crab Rangoon- does have crab, could have a little more, but unlike others, it is there. Visit 2- was delayed because they are closed on Monday’s… no staff I guess, thanks Covid. Still that is a strike. Actual visit 2- was beef fried rice, great! And customized, hot and fresh, crab Rangoon is consistent. Visit 3- sweet and sour pork and beef Lo mein, again both great, hot and fresh, consistently good crab Rangoon. Also, I test all Chinese by how I feel later, dragon wok has not failed me yet. The containers are super full, great value.
Cleanliness- yes! Nicely kept!
Things to work out- ordering app or phone per other reviews might shut off too early, a whole hour???? Why??? Hours- we desperately need restaurants open til 9 in Gretna, we just do. Our businesses are bleeding customers back into Omaha, not good.
As mentioned- Mondays! Work it out, many of us work and live in Gretna- we need daily options.
You have our attention- earn the 5 stars,...
Read moreHad a piece of metal wire from the brushes they use in my chicken. I went to tell the worker and he took it from me without saying anything. I wasn’t sure where he went but when he came back he looked at me and said “next in line”. I continued to stand off to the side in confusion and the other worker asked if I had been assisted, I said well I told him that I had metal in my chicken and I’m not sure if he was making me a new one or what he didn’t tell me.. the first guy then said “yeah I handled it”. And I asked, “what exactly do you mean by handled it?” He said he was making me a new one. I said I definitely won’t be eating here again as I don’t want to eat metal or cut my mouth.. I just wanted to inform you so others can look out for metal if you made mine in a batch. The second guy said “I understand and this doesn’t happen often”. I question him “what do you mean doesn’t happen often.. are you saying that this isn’t the first time?” He said “yes, it isn’t the first time it’s from our brush, the metal comes off it from time to time.” From there the conversation ended and they helped the next person.
I wish I recorded the interaction or had a picture.. but please be careful of metal if you choose...

I walked up and they had the menu on the outside of the restaurant which was really nice so I wouldn’t be inside at the counter looking at it awkwardly before I order. I decided to try something new from the peanut butter chicken I usually get at the other location and ended up with the Szechuan Beef. I walked inside and was greeted with a smile by the friendly staff member who said they would send me a text when my order was done. I decided to walk around the mall a bit instead of waiting inside for it since it was a beautiful day. It was nice to stretch my legs and enjoy the weather and I figured I get to do a whole lap around the place before my food was ready, but it wasn’t even a quarter of a lap before I got the text. They had my food wrapped up in a paper bag on the counter ready to go when I got there and I was soon eating it. The beef was tender and fresh and full of flavor from the sauce. The rice was the perfect consistency and the crab Rangoon’s were perfect. Easily the best Chinese food...
