Let me tell you about the absolute circus that was my recent visit to Paradise Restaurant and Cafe in Gretna, Nebraska. I went with my girls, ready for a chill time, but what we got was a masterclass in how to make customers feel like they're unwanted guests at a middle school cafeteria.
First off, the staff. Oh, the staff! From the moment we walked in, it was like we'd crashed a private party of judgy McJudgersons. We were met with up-and-down looks that could curdle milk. No "hello," no "welcome," just silent, piercing stares that screamed, "You don't belong here." I ordered a sandwich, and the attitude I got was thicker than the bread. Seriously, where do they find these people? Customer service clearly isn't in their vocabulary.
Now, the sandwich itself was actually pretty good. But even that small victory was overshadowed by the fact that we were clearly the entertainment for the staff. While we were eating quietly, minding our own business, we were subjected to constant stares and giggles. There was this one woman, maybe in her early 30s, with a headset on—probably the ringleader of this band of merry bullies. Her glares could kill. It's like she personally wanted us gone. And to top it all off, as we left, not a single "goodbye" or "thanks for coming." Just more silence. The food might be decent, but the horrendous customer service ruins everything. Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy being treated like you're public...
Read moreI walked in there and instantly felt judged all eyes were on me, looking me up and down by all the staff. Then they started giggling I don’t know why because I was only looking at the menu but again they were giggling, and I felt pressured to just go order right then and there. When I went to the register to order, a white girl with blonde hair who seemed like she was a manager because she had a headset on came up to the register when she saw me after two minutes of waiting she came and with the worst attitude she goes can I help you? While rolling her eyes and looking at the other worker. I ordered a Pasta salad which by the way tasted amazing, but I got disgusted after seeing a hair in there. I was really nervous about going to go tell them because of how I felt when I first walked in there, but I finally built the courage to go and let them know that I did find a piece of hair in my salad, but she said that she basically can’t do nothing about it. I’m not the type to start arguments so I just said OK thank you have a good day and walked away because I really didn’t want to start an issue because I got drained and felt bullied so I just decided to leave. Food was great from what I had but the staff was something else. 👎 Hope this review helps someone and I hope that no one has to go through this. If I could rate my experience in the negatives, I...

Stopped in here for a late lunch while shopping and visiting from San Diego, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. This place is in desperate need of improvement when it comes to leadership and staff. The team seemed to be made up of teenagers with little understanding of work ethic or customer interaction. Dirty tables were everywhere, and many staff members were standing around talking or glued to their cell phones. To make matters worse, the girl at the cash register was on her phone and eating a cookie while taking orders.
It was clear that the manager or shift lead had no control over the team. There was a visible lack of leadership, with no effort to ensure the staff was focused or productive. The atmosphere felt chaotic and unprofessional, which made for an uncomfortable dining experience.
As for the food, it left much to be desired. The sandwiches were poorly made, lacked flavor, and seemed like they were just thrown together. It was a clear reflection of the overall lack of accountability and care in the establishment. Sadly, this was a very disappointing visit, and I wouldn’t recommend stopping here until some serious...
