After my recent visit, I can confidently say that it has become my new favorite burrito spot in the area.

Went to Fat Joe's excited because I love the locally owned versions of Moe's and Chipotle, only to be horribly disappointed. Got my usual at these places: a burrito. Started off with some chicken that was cut so small that it was basically a scoop of dust, and I had to pay for a second scoop just to TASTE the chicken. Got rice, cheese, and some queso like I do at these places and he asked if I wanted it toasted and I said yes. My wife got a bowl and we were disappointed that chips didn't come with the meal like similar places offer. My wife was eating her bowl and realized that the chicken was extremely dry, to the point that she couldn't finish the bowl. I bit into my burrito and it was lukewarm/cold, which was surprising because the food should be on warmers and it was toasted. The cheese dip tastes like canned cheese, and everything together cost $30. If you're wanting this kind of food, Chipotle and Moe's are both within 5 minutes of here. Food was cold, unseasoned, and very disappointing. They obviously have ZERO quality control. There's also a Mexican grocery store next door and you can make better food at home with those supplies. What I'm most mad about is that I'm out $30 and not satisfied with my meal.

Update 2 hours later: my wife threw up after being sick to her stomach...

Third times the charm!!! I just so happened to be in the area and my husband was hungry and wanted something while I was out. He looked this place up and me and my sisters all tried it together for the first time. And we all agreed that they are 50xs better than all the other big name casual Tex-mex businesses. Everything from the warm genuine greeting upon entry, to the assembly line, right up to check out and exit, it was altogether a WONDERFUL experience!

Hugo, Keson, & Katherine made sure of this for the 3rd time in a row! As if the first impression wasn’t enough! Who I assume was the manager/ owner was sure to greet and thank every guest in my party including the second time through the line. Because we had sat down and dined in and then placed a to go order on the way out.

The customer service is consistent which is what led to this above expectations review, because the Fat Joe crew on 05/04 & 05/06 truly earned this review and a loyal customer with a big hungry family!
