IHOP — Restaurant in Griffin

The star is for my waitress that was wonderful. Here is my story. My family party of 3 went to this Griffin location for lunch yesterday. My husband and I ordered the steak tips and eggs. Ok. After receiving our meal I clearly noticed that the eggs didn't look like eggs. They were soft and slightly watery. As a travel nurse on the road quite often I eat out a lot. I've seen powered eggs a time or two and they looked like that. My husband worked for Morrison for 17 years in food service. He orders the food for hospitals along with other duties. He knows food ok. He tried to eat the eggs and after two bites he got up and left the table a few seconds later I hear him what I thought was coughing. I figured due to Covid he just wanted to excuse himself. Come to find out he was throwing up. Sadly he didn't finish his meal but my daughter and I did. It wasn't so bad. Restaurants are different nowadays. Not like they were before Covid happened so you sort of expect food not to be the same. This is the next day and I asked. My husband where he would like to have lunch he said "not IHOP that's for sure. I will never eat there again" That warrented a call to the establishment to let the manager know what happened. She was not kind. She didn't care. She wasn't interested in righting this wrong for my husband. There was only one other table taken when I was there. Clearly you want to keep the customers you have instead of loosing them. I have contacted the corporate office homefully the will care even if that store...

Went here with family. Grandparents and children 3 adults and 3 children. The waitress was very nice. Didn't wait that long for the first 2 orders but the rest of the food took a while. I order sour cream and guacamole on the side with a fruit bowl. I the sour cream was a piece of honeydew.. okay so I took it to some ladies who was placing orders in the computers beside the kitchen door. Another waitress walked up and helped me since she seen the other ladies entering orders. While she took the sour cream to the back explaining that it is something Green in the sour cream. A staff member is heard Talking very loud and unprofessionally about it is only guacamole. But it was not. Still why is it guacamole mixed with the sour cream. Okay I get handed a new sour cream. As I use my knife to get it out of the container, Onions are mixed in this one. Okay so they are using the same knives and forks and spoons for everything?? I didn't even go back.. I have a food allergy and Onions are one of them. The staff members I'm thinking a cook or a prepare person that was doing all this loud talking continued to repeat things about the sour cream. Customers in the lobby were looking around.. The first to plates were cold by the time the other meals came out.. We like to say grace over our food. Not to mention that our ticket was over $110.00. It'll be a long time...

came here yesterday and the waitress wasn’t bad but the reason for my review is the fact that i waited over an hour for my food and it wasn’t even busy there. after we had waited probably like 45 minutes the waitress finally came up to us and said, “don’t worry the food is still on the way”. WELL I’D HOPE I HAVENT BEEN WAITING 45 MINUTES FOR NO FOOD like obviously the foods on the way. anyway we waited about 20 or 30 more minutes after the waitress told us that. when we finally got our food, the waitress handed us our bill really fast and said here’s the bill. what really irritates me is the fact that the waitress didn’t seem like she felt bad that we waited over an hour for our food. i honestly expected them to give us some extra food for our patience or give us a percentage off but no, they didn’t even act like it happened and when we asked why it was taking so long before we got our food they said it was because the air conditioning wasn’t working??? also one of the employees (possibly the manager) was yelling at people in the back and in the lobby and even made one of the other employees cry in front of everyone. i’m not gonna say the food is bad because it isn’t, but it’s definitely not worth the terrible experience that you get almost every time you go and the prices are insane. $17 for an omelette and hash...
