Casey's — Restaurant in Grimes

Not sure what is going on with this location. It has been an ongoing saga with slow service, and just not an overall good experience. Every time I purchase anything from this specific store it turns into an endeavor. This is sad as I want to support the Casey’s nearest me, but I go out of my way to get to the other locations for what I need.

Another aspect of any Casey’s store, and this is not up for debate. The software that reads and authorizes transactions via credit/debit cards takes an unreasonable amount of time. That issue lies at the corporate level of Casey’s and is to the point that pride must be swallowed, and lessons learned from other stores. Why can I be in and out of any Qwik Trip with multiple people in line in seconds, but if I am the only person in any Casey’s making a purchase it can take several minutes?

That issue starts and ends at the top. It is 2022, make steps to get with the times. You are setting up your cashiers and customers up for failure for wasting time staring at a card reader that should be...

I usually don't have an issue with this location but I ordered a breakfast pizza with sausage and a plain cheese pizza, as well as some breadsticks, a mountain dew, donuts & cookies. The donuts weren't even the right kind, the pizza tasted awful & it was extremely sloppy looking. I mean cmon, half a sausage patty thrown onto a pizza? It looked and tasted gross, and the breadsticks are pretty much inedible due to how much garlic is in/on them. I tried calling this location several times but no one ever answers. I called them the automated person replied and did not take my order. When I finally was able to speak with a person they took my order I its entirety. They told me my amount a pizza w/ cheeses bread no problem.
