This place has become such a disappointment, it use to be soooooo much better back some years ago.. now whoever is in charge, has allowed it to decline drastically ...first of all, this establishment lacks consistency!!
Customer service is a ZERO, I was in there this evening, hardly anyone there (after tonight's experience I can see why) when we walked in we were given ZERO greeting, a Hello and/ or a smile goes a long way.... The music was paying loudly and inappropriate type for an ice cream parlor, the staffs seemed to be very inconvenienced by us being there; we also had some concerns about sanitary measures, soggy Band-Aids on fingers while scooping ice cream is kind of disgusting.. just saying, prob should have on a glove.
The young lady scooped out a very scant portion, half the amount, compared to other items in the orders scooped by others ... it makes me feel silly to be bothered by this however when asked to make adjustments, attitude and rolled eyes was given, not fulfilling the request
So this review encompasses the ENTIRE Experience, if a few things were done differently, I couldn't looked passed other things, however the collective in such a short period of time has left an impact..
It's cool,.... We paid and tipped, we will most likely go elsewhere .. shoot for the $20 spent, we could've just gone to the grocery store, would have gotten more for less ... but here we thought it would be nice to support local businesses... it's too bad the same consideration wasn't given in return
it's rather unfortunate that people don't care about their customers experience and expect to get paid for just showing up, that's not...
Read moreStopped by Ashby’s twice during my family’s short stay in Michigan!
The first time my husband and I got their strawberry cheesecake ice cream in a cup. Very creamy and delicious! One scoop was enough for us both.
The second time my husband and I got their Reese’s parfait which was highly recommended by my brother in laws cousin. It was his go-to at Ashby’s so we told him we wanted to try it as well. Let me say, it has ALOT of peanut butter. We were tasting it for days after! Honestly it was very good but just had a bit much peanut butter, I’d probably order the parfait with maybe some hot fudge swirled in next time to offset the strong peanut flavor.
Service is pretty good! The first time we visited it was only us there so the wait wasn’t too long. But the second time was on the weekend and at night so everyone and their mama was there! The line was quite long and the wait was even longer. I could tell other customers were getting frustrated. But we didn’t mind it. We just sat down at the tables they had inside and waited for our order to be ready. Just know there could be a long wait if you go on peak times and days!
Other than that I definitely recommend Ashby’s for some...
Read moreLast night after the Mason spring concert ended just before 9:00 PM we made a b-line to Ashby's to celebrate my son's amazing performance. My mother came in from 4 states away to see this and we were so excited. We showed up at 9:02 and the doors were locked as they just closed. Three kids and 3 adults were very crestfallen and forlorn as we walked away in defeat. Just then the owner walked past us and said come on in please. This made our night and is what I appreciate with where we live. I grew up in a town of less than 500 people and things like this were routine. Thank you very much for...
