Being newer to the area, relocating from upstate NY, my daughters and I. I’ve dealt with many different types being a nurse and a veteran. Venturing out to find a good bagel place beyond starbucks i found this place and decided to give it a go. Ordered a caramel frappe, but when i got my drink it didn’t appear as the ones i’ve received from Starbucks etc or the pic on the menu. Attempted to ask the cashier and was ignored. One of the employees came out to the lounge area and i asked her to explain why my drink looked different than the pic and she explained the two kinds ones a shake like drink the other is an iced coffee, and very kindly offered to remake my drink. As she went to do this the cashier asked her “ what are you doing” she explained the situation and he told her my drink was already made and if i “wanted something different “ i would have to pay for it. i explained to him i have no problem paying for what i want and what i was made was not what i wanted. I then paid for another drink, discarding the previously made one and got my bagel and left. Now i can afford paying twice to have the drink i want but poor customer service has cost you 3 new customers. Plus the friends that i originally recommended who decided you aren’t worth the drive either for rudeness. The women worker tho the cashier can learn something from her kudos. too bad she’s not in charge 🤷🏻♀️ back...
Read moreWe stopped into Einstein Bros for a quick bite while in Grosse Pointe to visit Trader Joe's.
It is a fairly typical chain-style cafe. They offer a wide selection of bagels and breakfast/lunch bagel sandwiches.
I opted for an egg and avocado sandwich on an everything bagel. The bagel was very fresh and soft, and the egg was cooked well. All in all, an average bagel sandwich that did the trick.
They offer self-serve style coffee in the main Cafe area. They had about four or five choices, including regular/dark roast, flavoured and decaf. I believe the tags may have gotten mixed up, as my regular coffee had a very strong hazelnut flavour. It was very reminiscent of gas station-style coffee, drinkable but not at all gourmet. If you are looking for a specialty coffee, I recommend checking out one of the other nearby cafes.
The cafe itself was open-concept, clean and bright with lots of space. It was comfortable to eat in, and I did not feel that we were being rushed. The staff brought our order to the table, which was also nice.
Overall, it is nothing fancy but is a good choice for a quick and...
Read moreRacist Experience! Me and a few members of my family walked into the location. At the time we were the only people in the store and the employees just looked at us and didn't speak or acknowledge our presence (they were not busy they were just standing around). After we ordered our food we stepped back from the counter because their wasn't any designated place to wait for the food. One of the employees rudely says "well can i help you guys with anything else because you're just standing here and I need to help the other customer" (which was a white male). They handed us the food and I realized I didn't receive the orange juice I ordered. It was never stated to me that I had to grab it from the cooler and once I asked I was told I had to grab it, usually that's told when you place your order. The experience was terrible and I will never go back to that location. I felt belittled and I cannot believe me and my family were...
