I read mixed reviews so I decided to give it a try myself last Thursday. My experience was more on the negative side. Firstly, despite the décor looking nice, the place not only has a strong chemical odor, it also smelled like the sewer backed up in there. The person who was assigned to work on my nails seemed to lack skills and training. The file he was using, seemed to give him a hard time. I asked for my nails to be oval-shaped. He filed my pinkie nail, then asked me if it was ok. He asked that even though he filed it significantly longer on one side, like he filed it diagonally, i don’t even understand how that looked even close to an oval shape, let alone that it looked done. I explained that it was longer on one side, he “fixed” it, then started working on my next finger. Same situation again! At this point, i took out my own nail file from my bag and started fixing it to show him. Then i decided that i was going to leave without getting my nails done, if he can’t even file nails properly, how could he possibly finish my nails well? He called what seemed like his boss, spoke in another language, then she took over filing my nails then putting on the layers of dip powder. She definitely looked like she knew what she was doing. She then handed me back over to the original person, who started filing the surface with a file that didn’t seem to do much of anything. He obviously doesn’t have knowledge of what tools to use for what and how. Long story short… he ended up painting what I think is several layers of Gel polish and curing under UV light (not my experience with dip nails). It is now Sunday, three days after getting my nails done and the side edges of three of my left hand nails are coming off (I haven’t done any physical work with my hands to cause this.) Their employees need to be trained better (they shockingly don’t seem to know what they’re doing) and they need to do something about the...
Read moreThe manager was very rude and disrespectful. I called and made an appointment for my mom, 5 year old daughter , and myself. When I arrived, the nail technician were really nice and respectful. I did think it was odd that they sat us in the back room of the salon but I just thought it was due to the fact that there were a few of us. I had a lovely chat with the nail technician who were both really nice. Once my nails were finished, the nail technician offered to do my nail manicure and as I was moving to the front of the salon, the nail technician came back and told me she couldn’t do my nails. When I asked her why, she said the manger said that they could no longer service us due to the fact that my daughter screamed one time. When I calmly talked to the manger, she first lied and said that I never told her I had children which is not true because I booked an appointment for my 5 year old daughter. When I asked her again why she refuse me service for a manicure, she said it’s because my kids are screaming and making a mess and out of control, which is untrue because my kids were quiet and watching TV on their IPad. When I asked her again very calm and quiet, she yelled at me and said she couldn’t make me happy. I was humiliated! I felt disregarded and treated poorly. I’m sorry but we were the only people in the salon who were African American. The way we were treated is unacceptable and no human should be treated this way for any reason. I didn’t yell. I remained calmed and I exited the salon by apologizing, thanking the nail technician for her kindness and decided to write a review. I’m hoping this would send a message that people should be treated with respect and dignity no matter regardless the color...
Read moreThis is the first review I have ever written, but it is only because I am terribly disappointed in my manicure. The salon is very clean and beautiful. It is well organized and the workers are nice and professional. The pedicure was relaxing, however the polish was not applied correctly and appears to be a little messy. I had a little bit of shellac left on my nails from a manicure a month ago and it was on the top third of each of my nails. I do not get shellac often, but I do get it on my nails two to three times per year. When he first applied the polish after removing the shellac, he said that the shellac made my nails uneven. I have never heard that before, nor has that ever happened to me in all of time using shellac and then using regular polish after shellac removal. I said that I often have a crease in my thumb due to an accident as a child and maybe that was why that nail was uneven. I quickly realized as my nails were drying that all of my nails were uneven and honestly not even fully painted within the nail bed. I ended up taking off all of the nail polish because of how messy it looked. I truly do not mind paying their prices, if the manicure and pedicure are well done! The picture below is of my nails when showing my mother and asking her if I was crazy to think that this was not done well. She very much agreed that they were poorly done. I am giving two stars because the pedicure was relaxing and the workers were nice, but I will not...
