I give it one star for it's Central location in a great city, another for the classy environment and the last goes towards the friendly staff. But the rest of the stars, unfortunately I cannot provide due to the food and drinks taking way longer then it should with such a slow crowd. The food is bar food at best. The chicken sliders tasted as If i made them at home. I'm convinced the cheese was Kraft slices torn in half and placed on the slider. For the prices they ask at this place and where it's located you would except much better results. The Mac and cheese was very tasty but dry, and the noodles were a bit hard. I would definitely keep it to the apps and drinks at this place if I were going back. This establishment has the potential to be great, but I'd say a chef who has some flavorful combinations for the basics is needed to spruce the menu options up a bit and make you feel like you didn't just pay 12 dollars for something you could get at the local dive bar, and not one of the most expensive areas in town. One more thing. I'd avoid the special Mexican menu on Wednesdays because you would be able to accommodate a much better meal at home with things you had In the crisper drawer than you could here and be happier. Or that could just be me. Either way see for yourself and don't let me be the be the bearer of bad news. Try for yourself. You might think differently. Bon appetit!

My first visit to the Whiskey 6 yesterday…I was impressed! 5 out of 5!!! I went with a friend of mine who recently was released from the hospital. I wanted to go somewhere comfortable with good food and drinks, so we could catch up and appreciate all the things we took for granted( like being healthy enough to enjoy a meal out). The overall experience (we were there for about 4 hours) we had at the Whiskey 6 was incredible. I ordered the Grilled Fish Tacos & Lamb Sliders (shared), Salad (their ranch is delicious!), White Chicken Chili, W6 Tenderloin and the Nutella Pizza (picture included; also shared…yes we ate it all! lol) for dessert. Reasonable price for DELICIOUS food and potent, well-crafted cocktails! John, the owner, is friendly, funny and extremely accommodating!! He makes you feel comfortable and welcome, like seeing an old friend, after meeting him just once. Big T.V.’s with sports viewing from all points in the bar and unique Detroit “decorations.” I can’t wait to go back! -Scott D.

Walked into a calm, surreal place that was very inviting, smooth not so bright atmosphere that was relaxing. Very nice. Was just having snacks and drinks so we ordered the almighty Hopslam and an Old Fashioned to start with. For eats we snacked on Bacon Deviled Eggs and Michigan Nachos. Deviled Eggs were great just didn't expect only 4 halves was planning on 6 for $6 lol! Didn't say anywhere small plates. The plate of Michigan Nachos as small as it was for $11, well the only thing that saved it was the pulled pork which was a bit dried out but had the most amazing flavor. Other than that it said it came with their beer cheese on it which after clarifying with the bartender was supposed to be a beer cheese but tasted simply like nacho cheese. That's why we asked, we were going to order the pub bread which said it came with the beer cheese but after finding out the beer cheese was what tasted exactly like nacho cheese on the nachos we passed. The Old Fashioned was excellent, at $12 it should have been..

We stopped in for a drink and a bite for the first time yesterday and we were glad we did!

We checked out the reviews beforehand and noted that the negative ones consisted of mostly to-go orders.

First off I have to note that the cleanliness was top notch. We sat at the bar and felt comfortable and distanced from the other guests. The bar tender, Matt, and the rest of the staff kept their masks on and over their nose at all times.

We ordered the arancini, prohibition burger w/ onion rings, fish and chips, apple cider mules and a few beers. Everything was delicious and well prepared & worth ordering again. When we return, it will be difficult to branch out and try something else because it was that good! Matt was great, he managed to be personable, friendly and spirited through the mask. Our drinks stayed full and our food was delivered quickly.

Sorry, we didn't take time to snap any pictures of our feast, it was far too inviting to wait to dig in!

*If you're ordering to-go here, I suggest ordering it and coming right away or waiting on it. They are quick in the kitchen and honestly, that food deserves to be eaten on a plate fresh from...

Lets start off with the good points. It was nice but maybe we went at the wrong time. I loved the look of the place , fireplace looked warm and cozy. We were hungry so we did not complain. The hostess, poor thing, she looked tierd, did not smile or even say hello or welcome. She seated us right next to a bunch of drunk screaming table of people and a table with three kids and the kids were not quiet they standing up on the chairs putting dirty shoes on the edge of the table, crawing under the tables and fussing and the poor parents had to keep telling them to sit down. While I was in restroom I could hear someone yelling loud, I later found out it was the group right next to our table. I was tierd & hungry so I did not say anything but it did take the ambiance level down. One of the drunk patrons from one of the booths even came over to our table to tell us a dumb joke. I was thinking..omg! Just go away. I had to order a glass of wine quickly to calm my nerves 😂 out Server was very nice and out food came quicky. If you want a nice quiet place to dine , you might not want to...
