Descorche Bar & Grill, located where Jarritos Bar & Grill once stood, offers an impressively extensive menu that ranges from burgers and pasta to mofongos, tacos, meats, fish, and more. With such a broad variety, there’s certainly something for every palate. However, while the menu might excite on paper, the execution left much to be desired. Descorche Bar & Grill excels in presentation and portions, but the flavors need to catch up with the visuals.
We began with the Longaniza Egg Rolls, a dish that promised more than it delivered. The main course, a chicken breast with mamposteao, left me conflicted. While the chicken was perfectly fine, the mamposteao truly stole the spotlight. The mofongo stuffed with chicken followed a similar pattern: bland chicken saved only by a creamy garlic sauce that elevated the dish.
For dessert, the tiramisu, unfortunately, was all style with no substance. While visually stunning with intricate decoration, the dry ladyfingers lacked the classic flavors of coffee and cream.

The décor is inviting, tranquil, and cozy. I ordered the stuffed avocado with skirt steak and chimichurri… absolutely amazing. Truly no other word for it, amazing!

The layers of meat were juicy and tender plus the ciabatta bread gave the sandwich an upscale touch of deliciousness.
