Before my stay at Japan and Korea, this place was my favorite place to get udon and ramen. Many people go here for ramen but actually everything else is better, the ramen and udon is just average.
This place bao buns are great and the Teppanyaki is awesome. The sushi is good too. Misu ramen is ok but the tonkutso ramen is not even near what you get in Japan, it just tastes way different from traditional ramen. The char shiu is like bbq based and messes up the broth. Go for the misu ramen with beef instead.
Service is average. There is only one waitress, the person who prepares the sushi and the lady on the back help her bringing the food. Went 2 times and the same girl had our table. She is not bad but not attentive and empathic enough.
Location is bad, if i had to take the table beside the window on the parking lot i would leave.
For the location prices are high. The prices are fit for a place located on San...
Read moreI live 8 minutes away, so I've eaten here a few timesâbig mistake every time. Itâs a generic Chinese joint decorated with random anime junk from Amazon. The food? Bland, ridiculously greasy, and just sad. Today I tried the okonomiyaki, knowing it wouldnât match what I had daily in Amerikamuraâbut wow, this was awful. Way too much flour, soaked in oil, and buried under what looked like half a jar of mayo. I had to search for the corn. No flavor, just grease. I really tried to like it, but nope.
I told the waitressâit was badâand she just took it without asking why. Still charged me full price. No curiosity, no care. If they gave a damn, they'd ask, learn, maybe improve. Instead, they pocketed $12.50 and moved on. If you like your food tasting like a cake of flour, oil and regret, go for it. Otherwise, skip this sad greasy mess. Plenty of better ramen and Asian spots not far from there....
Read moreI absolutely love this place for many reasons. One being that the staff members are extremely friendly, super nice, and sweet. Any doubt or anything you need, they will be there to help! Another reason is the environment, it's cozy and feels almost as if you were home. Now with the star of the show, the food! The food here is amazing, coconut shrimp (sweet and salty), pan fried pork dumplings (savory and crispy), plum wine (sweet and the alcohol is subtle, absolutely splendid), shar siu bao buns (fluffy, savory and sweet), and last but certainly not least... THE RAMEN, I usually go for the miso or tonkotsu ramen with shar siu and both knock it out of the park. The flavor is immaculate. Every slurp, bite and drink of it is a heavenly experience. With all this said, this place is a must,...
