Rotolo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Gulf Breeze

We had a party of four for a Saturday night dinner here. The facility inside and outside is spotless. It has a few tables and a few booths separated nicely as well as an outside covered seating. It was about 6pm when we arrived to find it about half full with some folks already waiting. We had a smaller party and were quickly seated. With two fourteen tops also seated just before or at about the same time. Our server Trinity was very friendly as well as knowledgable. She arrived quickly there to take our drink orders and told us about the other large parties, so we managed to get our order in before. We had the cheese-sticks to start which is really just a cheese pizza with no sauce. Good but when I go back I'll order it well done. A couple of us had side salads which can be either halved or sized as a side. All were good. Then for the entree, The Krewe, add jalapenos. We got the 18inch, well done. It has Bacon, Pepperoni, Cheddar, Feta and Parmesan with added jalapeno of course. A fabulous crispy pizza good with cold beer or other beverages as they do have a full bar.

We will definitely be going back!

Updated February 2023 Another visit was as good or better than our last visit two years ago. We had the same great service and delicious pizza and calzone. We also had an order for the “chalmette” which is a fancy flat bread. Seasoned perfectly and baked crispy it is served with their signature marinara sauce. Just fabulous. It was so good we had it for breakfast the following day.

If you like pizza and haven’t been here don’t miss out. You won’t be disappointed.

Kinda bummed by this one. Ordered a Detroit style cheese for 20$, cheese sticks, and a cookie. I told the (very friendly and helpful) server on the phone I was driving 30 minutes, and she said it would take 30-45 minutes to prepare anyways so I went ahead and ordered. I received a text literally 8 minutes after I ordered telling me it was ready, which resulted in a cold order when I arrived. The pizza was really surprisingly small, and there was VERY little cheese on it, to the point it wasn't noticeable when you took a bite. The cheese sticks had probably twice as much on a MUCH thinner bread. The crust definitely wasn't baked in butter, instead in oil giving it a very bland taste. This was a 20$ fried bread with sauce (which to be fair, the sauce was pretty decent). Cheese sticks were ok but undercooked and floppy, (could be a result of sitting for 30 minutes before I arrived). The cookie didn't come with anything they advertised, no ice cream, no caramel sauce, just a very VERY overcooked cookie, bordering on burnt. Overall it still wasn't bad. For 60$, this was absolutely not worth it, and the pizza is WAY too overpriced for what I got. I'm from Detroit, the pictures looked promising.. I see a lot of good reviews, maybe I hit a bad day, but I won't be giving it another shot for a long time, if...

GET THE GELLATO ITS THE BEST AROUND!!! Unfortunately The food is still great but since delivery has started we’ve seen a serious decrease in customer service. We don’t eat in anymore because the day service was awful. Simple requests were ignored, then lied about when asked about it. I’m sure she didn’t realize we are local and ordered from there almost weekly so I know what the food should be. Ordering delivery is almost impossible now as the wait times are well over an hour. We started going in to pick it up and the last 2x we picked up our orders were incorrect. (the last 4 times it’s been incorrect;2 delivery) Food was still good. Just not what we ordered and paid for. We’ve decided to go back to santinos instead. Not sure what’s going on with the front of house staff...... let’s get it together. Owners and managers. Don’t let the name carry you! Get the front of house staff...
