I'm diabetic, and was drawn in by their signage that promised sugar free ice cream. The crabby girl behind the counter told me that there was only one flavor, but it wasn't sugar free. Just no added sugar. Not the same thing. Especially to a diabetic.
We had promised our grandson ice cream. We had dozens of choices of where to stop. The reason we patronized this store was due directly to their false advertising. They need to take that sign down.
We stopped here on Saturday evening (July 18), the same day the governor required masking statewide. Totally non-compliant.
We got there before a rush. We were able to keep our social distance. We were masked. We took our ice cream to one of the tables outside.
They had a sudden surge in business, and made no attempt to limit the crowd inside. It was crammed elbow to elbow, and no one was masked.
Outside, the tables on either side of us filled up. And (I'm not exaggerating), there were people on both sides coughing. We got up, and finished our ice cream in the car.
The ice cream was okay, but the management is clueless, or just doesn't care. It made we wonder what other health codes they...
Read moreIce cream is delicious but Parking attendant of the pizza place next door is extremely rude. Came charging from the parking lot across the street screaming at my fiancé “sir sir that is scoops parking only you can’t park there” My fiancé is not a sir We have a child with us who he scared the heck out of her screaming like that We were literally going to scoops. Screaming at your customers is not only extremely rude but charging someone in the dark who has a child with them is predatory. He did not apologize for misspeaking to my fiancé. He did not apologize for screaming that we couldn’t park there when we told him we were going to scoops. He did not apologize for scaring our 2 year old.
Finally I went inside ordered our ice cream and requested to speak to someone about the parking attendant. I was informed by the staff that there is nothing they can do. They don’t like him either and he screams at them multiple times a week. Said he is aggressive and extremely rude. Something needs to be done about this man and we do not plan to dine there again if we see him in the...
Read moreWhen I pulled up to Scoops looking to enjoy a nice ice cream treat, I found the place was packed and there was no where to park. I drove my car to the restaurant next door and parked there and walked to scoops, thinking nothing of it. I sat down and waited on the rest of my party to return from getting their order, when a gentleman walked up to me, gave a car description, and asked if it belonged to me. I told him yes and he politely told me that I was blocking the entrance to the parking lot of the restaurant next door and asked me if I could move my car and that he would even help direct me to a parking spot. I gratefully accepted the offer and followed his instructions. The spot he put me in was not technically a parking spot, as it was on the side of the road and partially in traffic, but upon exiting my car, the man introduced himself as the owner of Scoops and told me if the police ticketed me, he would take care of it for me. I shook his hand and thanked him profusely and went inside and had some of the best ice cream I've ever...
