ā”ļø First Impressions:
My visit to Chipotle Mexican Grill at Gurnee Mills, IL (via delivery) was another flavorful experience. Chipotle always holds a positive place in my dining choices, and this time was no exception. The order arrived neatly packaged, maintaining the freshness and warmth of the meal.
ā”ļø What I Ordered:
I indulged in a Veggie Burrito Bowl packed with:
Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa Guacamole Romaine Lettuce Queso Blanco Sour Cream Fresh Tomato Salsa Tomatillo-Green Chili Salsa Fajita Veggies Black Beans Brown Rice At $14.75 (totaling $16.89 with taxes), the bowl was absolutely worth it for the quality and taste. It was a protein-rich, hearty meal with every ingredient perfectly cooked and seasoned. The flavors blended beautifully, making every bite a delight.
ā”ļø Taste & Quality:
The bowl delivered Chipotleās signature freshness and bold flavors. The guacamole was creamy, the salsas added the right punch, and the veggies were cooked to perfection. Quality was top-notch, as expected from Chipotle.
ā”ļø Quantity Concern:
While the quality stood out, there was a noticeable difference in quantity compared to in-store purchases. The portion in the delivery was slightly lesser, which could be improved. It would be great if the consistency in serving size could be maintained, regardless of ordering method.
ā”ļø Ambiance & Vibes:
Though it was a delivery order, Chipotleās name always resonates with positive vibes. The restaurant is known for its energetic and welcoming atmosphere, making it a go-to spot for burrito and rice bowl lovers.
ā”ļø Overall Experience:
Chipotle Mexican Grill in Gurnee Mills is a fantastic option if youāre looking for flavorful and hearty bowls. If youāre dining in, expect generous portions and a vibrant ambiance. For deliveries, the experience is satisfying but could be elevated with more consistent portion sizes.
ā Final Verdict: Highly recommend Chipotle for anyone craving a customizable and protein-packed meal. Just a little nudge to ensure delivery portions match the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTLDR: Extremely rude employee (caucasian woman, purple/lilac hair, round glasses) - overall poor service and experience. Will not return.
My partner and I visited this evening, about 20 minutes before close, and could not believe the poor service not only we received, but the people before us as well.
There was a family in front of us with two small children who ordered a meal to eat inside & the employee (caucasian woman, purple/lilac hair, round glasses) preparing their order rudely told them "Just so you know, we close in 20 minutes". The gentleman had to repeat what his children wanted in their kid meals multiple times even though both meals were the exact same.
The same employee who rudely reminded us when they were closing sloppily prepared an online order before taking our order & proceeded to rolled her eyes and throw her hands up when more customers came in.
The line was also very dirty and they were out of black beans, sour cream, and chips even though they were still open for 20 more minutes.
My partner and I ultimately decided to eat in the car to avoid feeling rushed by said employee.
Having worked at Chipotle in the past, I can understand the frustration when people come into the restaurant right before closing and definitely understand that food on the line can run low closer to close; however, we are still paying customers & it is extremely uncomfortable to be treated as if you're burdening the employees. Also, while I was disappointed they were out of chips, I am sure the fryer was already cleaned and shut down for the evening, so I was not expecting them to make more; however, the sour cream and beans come pre-packaged, so to be completely out is unlikely unless the store did not order enough or staff just didn't want to bring more out.
Based on prior reviews, this establishment has a lot of work to do -- seriously hoping this manager is not trying to become a restaurateur until...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEarlier yesterday around 2:30, me and my two friends decided to grab some chipotle after school. To set the scene we were the only ones orderingāno rush, no long lines, just us. My friends ordered before me and had quite the same experience. I decided that i wanted a bowl with chicken, but quickly realized that that I wanted DOUBLE chicken because the portions were ridiculously smaller than usual. So I politely asked ācan i actually get double chickenā you should have seen her face, as if I was holding up a line of 10+ people, a face of distraught and annoyance, as if I was getting my food for free, as if i asked her to prepare an entire feast. Okay after that she continued to make the rest of my bowl that consisted of, sour cream lettuce and cheese THATS ALL. But today i wanted to try something new, so i said ācould you add a little queso on top, please?ā and AGAIN the face she gave me, was as if i told her to give me all the rest of the queso for FREE and to do a side of 20 pushups. the frustration was completely unneeded, and for what reason? the bowl wasn't even closed yet! The attitude she had towards all of us was completely unbelievably unprofessional. Im not sure if she was having a bad day, but from the looks of these reviews at this location, this seems to be a pattern, not a one time thing. If good customer service is such a burden, maybe this isn't the job for some the employees working here. Iāve never personally gone inside this Gurnee location, and after this experience, i will never again. Honestly I truly do like chipotle, but if your looking for decent portions, and good service, i DEFINITELY recommend taking your hard working...
