Very saddened by my experience yesterday. I have a 4 month old baby and we don’t get alot of opportunities to go out but in this case, my friend asked if I’d like to go to lunch. My daughter and I got to the restaurant a couple minutes early. We were the only ones waiting and I told the waitress we’d need a table for two. I did have a stroller with me, and the waitress said uhh ok one second, and just walked away. Several people flooded in, about 4 parties worth, and several waitresses flocked to them and seated them insantly. One waitress asked how many people were in our party and we said just 2. She said “ok two and a high chair”. I responded by saying my daughter is an infant and too young for a high chair. My friend and I sat in the chairs, waiting for about 30 minutes at this point. We tried to flag down several waitresses and they all avoided us. I finally went up to the counter and asked if we could just sit there since it was completely empty. One young lady rudely told me no, that having my daughter there was a fire hazard. I said “ok understood but you’ve sat everyone else but us so far and there were several tables that we could have been seated at”. She told me she was waiting for a larger table to open up so i can put her carseat on a chair. I politelytold her that was really unsafe. I did not feel comfortable putting my daughters carseat on a chair where someone can knock her over. An older waitress came over and told me that I should leave my stroller outside (in the rain). We just walked out at this point, and I asked my friend to watch my daughter. I went back inside and asked to speak to a manager. The girls were already talking about me, as they looked startled to see me at the counter. They told me the manager wasn’t there. I told them I felt discriminated against for having a baby in a stroller and was just ignored without being given an update on getting a table. They told me the problem was my stroller. We definitely were not treated nicely and there’s a good chance I won’t be returning since bringing my daughter was a...
Read moreI visited this place because it had great reviews, and the reviews motivated me and my wife to come visit. When we got there (for breakfast) the place was full which in all honesty gave us a positive vibe of the place as "this place must be good", and the place looked cozy too. When we sat down, we went over the menu and waited for our server, which when she arrived, I asked between two different options, and I trusted her recommendation. After ordering it went all downhill for me. I ordered the cuban sandwich with a simple change of "regular fries" instead of "sweet potato fries", and my plate arrived with sweet potato fries. One of the servers there took the plate back to the kitchen and brought it back within some logical time. When it was time to taste my meal, i was beyond disappointed. I've had cuban sandwiches all my life from different restaurants/deli/sandwich places since its one of my favorite sandwiches and I personally like to taste all the places that offer a good cuban sandwich, and I can say this particular sandwich the meat was tasteless, and the only flavor that I could taste through the sandwich was that of the mustard and a very partial flavor of the swiss cheese... and the fries were 10/10 because they really felt like homemade fries. That was my experience, as for my wife she ordered the bacon and cheese omelet which we both agreed was 1000% better than the cuban sandwich. Another thing my wife pointed out to me which I noticed was that she ordered a coffee with milk and other people were getting their coffee refilled except her/our table, we don't understand why, to be clear we didn't feel any bad attitude coming from our server but we just couldn't understand why she wasn't being refilled on coffee but other tables were. Overall the experience left us with a very sour taste of this place but we wish...
Read moreI've been going to Stella g's with friends and family for years it's been a couple years since I've been here and I just finished having breakfast. I can assure you I will never return not only was the service awful and don't give me the whole lack of employees thing I watched four people stand behind the counter basically doing nothing looking at each other talking non-business The I think owner new owner since I've been there walked past me probably 10 times without even acknowledging somebody was at the counter not good morning not can I get you a cup of coffee nothing so after people walking by like I was basically invisible I stopped the one waiter and I said excuse me can I at least have a menu please any hands me a menu and I said to him I'd like to order some scones to put aside and his response to me was yeah when I get to it and he just walked off. Waitresses kept walking past back and forth back and forth like no one was even sitting there still so guess what happens when customers get to sit and stare at things for a while they watch your waiter drop the coffee mug onto the filthy floor and then pick it up and put it right back on the shelf to be reused after my experience today I will never ever return to Stella g's never...Enjoy your coffee....yuck! No thanks... PS....I brought home scones for my dad....he bit into one and started choking/coughing...I said what's wrong? Well I guess like the coffee cup that fell on the floor...paper fell into the batter? What???? Can I give a less than...
