The regular red pizza does not look like the picture on their web site. In reality it is all red except for the many bubbles that have no topping. After eating this breadstick-like pizza, I wanted a real meal. So unfulfilling. There is basically no cheese on this or even the margherita pizza. Now you can add cheese for a very minimal 50 cents, but the time to figure this out is not after the fact. If this is not normal, warn the customer first. My response to their 3/20/2023 reply: I went by the pictures provided on your web site. How would I initially know this additional information you just provided? And their comment, "As for toppings. If you wanted them, you should have ordered some." How tone deaf is that? They sell pizza by names but the toppings are all additional? Then why have pizza names and a picture? Just have one item called "Make Your Own Pizza." This was a totally unsatisfactory, unfriendly, and lacking in customer service, answer from Tacconelli. So at this point we will never know how good a pizza they could make and their response has turned us off to actually...

Food was really good but Vince set false expectations for having a “family style party”. He did not set the tables and had guests get up and down to refill dishes from another table which I would call “buffet style”. I had to take wine glasses off the rack and bring them to tables because I didn’t understand why there wasn’t any servers doing this. Vince also informed us there was no one else at the restaurant until an hour after our party started. Ironically after accommodating this other party to come early he then provided them the “family style” experience we discussed. After voicing this concerns to him after the party he then started to make excuses saying they had less guests and ordered less— it seems like we were slighted by Vince. We are very disappointed with his overall competency to communicate what he offers as a business owner and if he was competent enough to set accurate expectations this would have been a perfect day. I hope his family reconsiders how he represents himself and the business. His response to this was “I don’t think the customer is...

Edit: I dined in and it also appears from their reply in my honest opinion they can’t take any constructive criticism to improve and instead chooses to criticize the customer here. Google reviews are for everyone to give their honest opinion. Maybe they should consider not participating if they only want to receive glorious reviews.

I rarely write reviews like this but I want this place to succeed so maybe this will compel to take this as an opportunity: The pizza was extremely watery and all the cheese fell off with every bite. This appears to be either the sauce or the dough. My wife called me while I was there to also pickup take out for her but I told her I'll pickup sushi for her. It wasn't that busy here for peak time Saturday night dinner so it appears the passion level can be improved. I would have said something to take it back but I wanted to contribute something to their service and paid for the pizza I ate there. I hope to come back when they come back to the level they...

My wife and I hosted a co-ed baby shower with ~50 family and friends at Tacconelli’s as a private event. From planning to execution, Vince was a pleasure to work with. He was receptive to various requests related to the menu, décor, desserts, set-up, etc., and worked to ensure the event met our expectations - it did that and then some! The food was delicious as to be expected from Tacconelli’s – guests have continued to rave about the salads, pastas, pizzas, and house-made gelatos. Staff were attentive throughout (set-up, event, tear-down) and checked in frequently to see if there was anything else we needed. The space also really came to life – see pictures below.  I would highly recommend hosting your next private event at Tacconelli’s Haddon Ave. Thanks Vince for the memorable experience!

This place is fantastic! Period. It is a really clean, fun atmosphere. Giant flaming ovens facing the tables. If you were out for pizza, this would be the place that I would recommend. Recommend. I do love many pizza places, have relationships with the owners, and feel certain loyalties to them, that does not stop me from going here. I make my own pizzas at home, Wood fired, hand tossed dough, homemade dough, homemade sauce, the whole nine. I literally changed my whole recipe after eating here. The sauce is admittedly on the sweet side, but it is absolutely fantastic. I must say, and I'm not proud of it, but I can eat a whole 16-in pie all by myself. If pizza is your thing, and you're in the area, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Also, bring cash. 😏

2025 Review Portions are still small but delicious. The staff are nice and work together. Music was on point during our visit. $85 for two people ordering salad, pizza bread, orichette pasta and a pie. 2024 Review Cash only establishment but BYO with accepting service of wine glasses and bottle opening. Electronically controlled rolling windows with street front open window bar style seats facing the road, tables and booths. Two wood burning ovens for pies and a pasta selection where they show you the noodles for explanation upon request. Portions were small both pasta and pie but the product was good just wish we had a little more. Family of 5 dining at a round table with a nice atmosphere. Call ahead for a reservation.
