We came for the Friday fish fry and were greeted right away, setting a positive tone. However, after being seated, we waited quite a while before our drink order was taken, and our waiter forgot the lemon we requested—no big deal, but it was a little disappointing.

Once we placed our orders, our food arrived promptly. My baked cod was a mixed bag; one piece was flavorful while the other was quite dry and lacking seasoning. My husband described his fish fry as okay—not his favorite, but tolerable.

However, our server's absence became increasingly noticeable. He didn’t check on us after taking our order , (the other staff delivered our meals). He seemed to focus on other tables, even as we waited for refills, tartar sauce (we grabbed it ourselves from other table) and our plates to be cleared. It almost felt purposeful that he was skipping over us. He was warm and friendly with other tables, the total opposite that he had been with us.

After we finally sought out the hostess and asked to speak to and manager and request our check. I mentioned the lack of service, she sent our waiter back over. While he was polite when we addressed our concerns, he didn’t apologize for the oversight.

Ultimately, I wanted to speak with a manager to discuss our experience, but the hostess informed me that she preferred to handle it directly. This approach felt dismissive, as our poor service significantly influenced our impression.

While we were willing to give the restaurant another chance for burgers or different entrees, the combination of mediocre food and inattentive service left us unsure about returning. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that overshadowed the potential for a great...

First time there. Spacious parking lot and spacious restaurant. Walked in, not busy at all, less than 4 customers (including myself), and everyone just stared at me as I walked in. I thought to myself, am I in the right place? It was one of those scenes in a movie where a new cowboy walks into the bar, the music stops, everyone stops talking and looks at him - kind of a moment. The bartender looked at me didn't acknowledge a "hi" or "welcome", and so I asked her, "Hi, do I seat myself?" She still didnt say anything to me while talking to another guest; several seconds later, someone from the back told me that I could sit anywhere and someone would be right with me.

Menu isnt the biggest if youre looking for variety. I ordered the chicken cobb salad and a bloody mary. The salad was good - crispy fresh vegetables and toppings, chicken was tender. Bloody was okay; didnt ask me for a chaser. I assume it came with one because when they dont ask it usually comes with one but, I was wrong to assume, it didn't and no biggy. It came with toppings and the bloody tasted comparable to something you'd find from the grocery store. The beef stick tasted and smelled off - expired?

Service was good--the only thing that made the experience okay. The waitress was sweet and came around often to checkup on me (thank you for your service). The only thing I'd have to mention is how quicky she brought the bill out. I wasn't halfway through my salad and it was placed on the table. Im sure this wasnt the intention, but it felt as if I had to hurry with my food and get out of there.

Wont be back but here's something worth mentioning--a great amount of TVs to...

We went for the first time on Friday for the fish fry. We didn't want to sit at a high-top table, so we opted to be seated in the back room. It was a little chilly initially but that's because we were the only ones in there for most of our time. As soon as we started eating and our metabolisms fire up it was very comfortable. It was also quite peaceful as the main dining room was pretty loud. It's Friday Fish Fry in Wisconsin. It's gonna be busy, so it's gonna be loud. This worked out very well for one member of group who is hard of hearing. He was able to participate fully in conversations and had a great time. Hearing aides just don't help in loud environments.

The service was excellent. It's been several days so as is typical, I have forgotten our server's name. She was friendly and helpful and checked in regularly. We were not left feeling forgotten in the back room as she knew just how long to wait between check-ins. Very pleasant experience.

There was Ocean Perch, Walleye Pike, and Taco Salad ordered, and I had the Fried Butterfly Gulf Shrimp with Tots. For the most part everyone enjoyed their dinners. The shrimp, though tasty, were quite small making the price for the dinner quite steep. One person ordered the "potato pancakes" which he said were nothing more that squashed tater tots. Not enough of an issue to make a complaint, but certainly something you should be aware of if you're actually wanting potato pancakes - which these are not. OH! I also started with a cup of Cheesy Sausage Potato Soup. Just Delicious.

I could see going back on a different night to try the...

Friendly staff, clean restaurant and comfortable seating. I really enjoyed the food. I got a sampler platter for our table and a bacon bob cheeseburger. Lots of selection on the sampler platter, you get what you pay for. The burger was great, I really enjoyed it. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich, but I can't recall the name of it, she liked her food too, I'm glad she recommended meeting here. Looking forward to coming by again.
