Came to give this eatery a try as I came into Half Moon Bay. Service was excellent, my servers were very polite and attended to our requests as kindly as possible. It did not take a long time for our orders to arrive at our table, and the food was delicious. I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with house fries, and I savored every bite. I’ll admit I was a tad skeptical about the large potato dice, and was anticipating that the taters weren’t cooked well, but I was wrong. They were delicious, and surely complemented the eggs and hash, too! I ordered a pancake on the side, and my perception was that they were from a box mix due to the texture and flavor. However, it doesn’t dismiss the fact that the pancake was still tasty. If ever I return here to Half Moon Bay, I would love to come back here, maybe even for lunch!

Don’t Hesitate. Stop here for the best food! Just a stranger in this town passing through and needed a breakfast spot for a seven year old and 4 adults, one a vegetarian. This place was close and we took a chance. It was the best decision ever. Service was amazing, food was excellent and from checking out the other customers- it’s a solid local spot. 11/10. Also, they have the best homemade hot sauce.

From the outside, Sam’s doesn’t look like much, but inside, it’s cozy and inviting. A classic breakfast spot. Nothing fancy. We had the Eggs Benedict and Huevos Rancheros—both were good. Portion sizes were good. However, in my opinion, the prices are quite high for a classic breakfast. The Huevos Rancheros was $20 and the eggs Benedict were $19. A cup of tea is $4. To me that is a little steep.

Sam's reminds me of when I used to visit my mother in law's home. There was a huge variety of choices to eat, and breakfast was served till closing. Everything is cooked to your liking and made with love. At Sam's, my daughter had a grilled cheese and fresh tomato sandwich. I've never seen that offered before in other restaurants, and she said it was delicious! I had a cheeseburger and fries. We saw a server deliver something to another table that looked so good that we just had to ask what it was. It was some kind of diet plate composed of big beautiful strawberries and bananas along with a choice of meat. It was really something. I'll get...

Great service, clean, nice atmosphere. I had the blueberry pancakes. The pancakes themselves were delicious and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, they were pretty spare with the blueberries. There should have been more given the upcharge. And the syrup was oddly not sweet? I kept adding more, but it didn't seem to make a difference. It was really thick syrup, too. Like unnaturally thick. They need to get a better quality syrup, or offer maple as an extra. I would go back, but I'd maybe order...
