This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had in our lives. For someone who dines out often and usually only leaves a review for excellent experiences, I felt that I couldn’t just let this bad experience slide. The first warning sign should have been that it was COMPLETELY empty on a Saturday night at 8pm. We chose to eat here because everyone was starving and it was the only place with seating. We honestly would have been better off going to the Carousel Club for tacos and pizza. So let’s get started on all you need to know before coming to this place:
•The staff barely came around and spend most of the time in a huge group chatting up front. •They gave us attitude about a deal that THEY offer where they give you a free bottle of wine with two entrees if you signup for their emails. •The food is soooo expensive. I usually don’t mind paying a lot if I’m getting quality food, but this is complete robbery. •My breaded chicken breast and mashed potatoes cost $38 and was very average. •My husband ordered an $80 bone in ribeye that was basically brought to him still alive and had barely any condiments. He loves ribeye and couldn’t even stomach finishing this one. It’s absolute theft to charge $80 for a steak that is complete garbage. •The waitress almost brought out the two things our friend asked her about when he had only decided on one so he just had to deal with eating the first thing he asked about even though it wasn’t what he finally ordered. •They didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert (which we definitely didn’t after our atrocious dinner) and took over 15 minutes to bring the bill after we had to get up and ask for it and then took about another 20 figuring out how to split it.
The one plus that I would give them is that the restaurant is pretty, but I read another review that said it was exactly what the past restaurant had set up there.
Point of all this is that if you want to go to dinner and spend hundreds of dollars and then feel really bad about it, this is your place! So so so...
Read moreThis a nice place with the right type of ambiance of having fine dining experience. We were offered to sit at a regular table or sit at a table with a cushy chairs which was further back in the corner next to a private sitting room where there was a private event. Of course those cushy chairs were tempting and sitting in the back room away from all the front end commotion was to my preference althoughthe place was relatively empty. That's where it went down hill from there. The waitress was nice but also very pushy with her specials and wouldn't let us make up our mind about main course by talking over us. I'm certain she meant well but my daughter and her boyfriend didn't necessarily know better and were pushed into an expensive special steak special and when my son and I ordered off the menu she talked down about the order. Right about that point that's when sitting next to a private room became a headache. The music got very loud and on top of that the people got even loader and they kept getting drinks after drinks after drinks. I mentioned multiple times how its very loud and even asked to close their door multiple times and all we were told both by the server and the manager is I'm sorry people are having a good time. We were never offered to be moved even thought I asked and even though their staff recognized that it was loud no one would bother to do anything about it stating that these are our regular clients. The food was good but definitely over priced and I even mentioned to the server how our bill should be paid by the private event party because of how uncomfortable we were there. No one bothered to even consider to either offer free desert as a courtesy or even comp an item on the bill for having a very loud experience. Plain and simple this place caters to their regulars and didn't care much about a new client other then to sell us on an expensive meal while lacking any courtesy to create and appease a more comfortable...
Read morePlanned a private event for almost a month, went over all details with the GM, Osnat. Having closed on the price for 30 guests, paying per person, she promised to be generous with the portions. When informing her only 25 guests would show, she stated there would still be enough for 30 guests, given our prior agreement. The food was enough for 20 guests and many left hungry. In total, 10 appetizers were supposed to be served. We received only 6 out of the 10. Out of 4 entrees we received two. Not to mention, we had to chase the waiters to bring soft drinks to the table. Again, as we were promised, the table would have unlimited soft drinks, and there was only ice water, not even bottled. 4 cigars on each plate (4 plates total), 2 chicken skewers (6 skewers total), cut up pita that was dry, the lamb carpaccio tasted spoiled, and a lot more I won’t sit here and list. But for 25 people, you do the math. Is it enough? Absolutely not. Instead of receiving compliments on what we expected to be a beautiful evening, all we got were complaints and guests heading to eat an “actual dinner” at another restaurant in the area. Service was poor, waiters were rude. We attempted several times to reach out to Osnat to resolve this issue and still have not heard back. Also, upon agreeing on a set payment amount, including gratuity, she tried to screw us with gratuity after paying deposit, saying we have to pay 22-25% when originally agreeing on 20%, which 20% is fairly generous, after it was written on paper, and we have proof. I hope this review comes in handy for any future guests at this restaurant. Please be careful and have everything recorded and written. On a side note, Bissaleh is super over priced. Go to JZ Steakhouse in Hollywood. Better food,...
