I usually stop by during their happy hour just because I like the quality for the money. Who doesn't love their pizza's? Their Chicken BBQ pizza is a favorite of mines. Are you trying to stay away from carbs? You can never go wrong with their chicken lettuce wraps if they're done right. I never get their onion ring tower, nevertheless it's an impressive munchie to have on the table to share with friends; it'll get you a lot of "unselfish points," I just think it's too much for one person so I refrain from ordering it. I wanted to stop by during a non-happy hr day and I ordered their chicken fried rice, yet I was disappointed at the taste & texture of the rice. The rice TASTED LIKE it had been cooked and stored in a fridge; then fried quickly without stirring it thoroughly & served after the chicken was cooked-this was my first culinary displeasure at the Yard House only because of those CHUNKS of cold rice that sat in the middle & bottom. The garnish helped disguise it, but I wasn't dubious to their failure-I'm not a chef but I can cook. Drink wise I'm never dissapointed, I usually get a top shelf long island and I'm good during my whole meal. The waitress will bring your alcoholic drink before the meal, but I like to ask for it moments before my meal is served-just a custom. May I add that she was very attentive always making sure our non-alcoholic drinks were full; she even stopped to chat with us several time as well as offer to exchange my meal which was nice. And after eating along with a nice drink you can sit back & enjoy their music/sports games-I never felt pressured to leave. Finally, I returned as a regular and ordered their Ginger Salmon, it was delicious; a bowl of clam chowder, it was very filling; long island w. no ice because I was sick and I walked out feeling like a million bucks. I returned again for a 9 oz of Rose, a bbq chicken pizza, some chicken nachos, and their chicken lettuce wraps I wanted to share with my friends. The only complaint I had was that the lettuce may have not been romaine lettuce-tasted nasty surprisingly because I've ordered it before. I took pictures and of the Ginger-Salmon. I still rate this restaurant a 3 because not all their waiters/waitresses are good. The new guy David is nice but he's still trying to find his way in the system. Also, I feel like some nights its a hit and miss with the chef. Friday nights they had a chef in the house that's awesome but some Saturdays and Tuesdays you'll get disappointed with the food because it felt rushed like that fried chicken I wrote...
Read moreFood was really good, but here is where it stops. Our server, Fallon, was atrocious. She looked annoyed, was not nice or helpfull at all. She didn't want to work tonight! Once our order was taken she brought us our drinks and that is it! The bussboy brought us our plates and we had to ask him for condiment and pepper. Then ,Fallon our server, did everything she could to ignore us. Never did she come to see if everything was ok or if we needed something else. After a while we wanted more drinks but she never came, so I went directly to the bar. As soon as I did that Fallon arrived and told us she would bring the drinks... It took 10 minutes (the drinks were on the counter for 5 min). It was not a busy night... Speaking of the bar, the barman was loud and talking of all the girls he meets in bars with other staff (walhat he said wasn't nice or proper/my stepmother was flabbergasted). We received our drinks once we finished eating and Fallon, our waitress never picked up our plates?!? We pushed them to the back of the table 15 minutes after finishing eating and 10 minutes later Fallon told my wife, not so nicely to give her the plates... I WILL NEVER GO BACK, YOU DON'T TREAT SOMEONE SPENDING $200 like this. We went somewhere else for after meals drinks caus it made no sense to stay.
Honorable mention to the hostess placing a family with a screaming baby behind us while there was plenty of empty place elsewhere.
Other honorable mention is Fallon, our server trying to give herself a 20% tip.
Other other honorable mention is Fallon, our waitress taking my dad's credit card from his hands while he was trying to pay!
Final honorable mention is Fallon our server starting to ask us if everything was ok and if we wanted anything else after we asked for the bill (like 5 minutes after).
NEVER GO THERE, IT IS sadly HORRIBLE!!! Whorst service in Florida! Maybe whorst...
Read moreI worked here. I was a fantastic server who rarely had complaints. They fired me for sharing my tip with a busser. It was a private party that requested me and me specifically. They wouldn't have come otherwise. I spent 5 hours serving 45 people and me and the other 2 girls took home 100$. Then the host of the party gives me an extra $20 as she is walking out the door and insists I keep it. So rather than give the other 2 girls $7 extra I shared it with the busser. After a year of loyal, excellent attendance and service, I was fired for giving 20 bucks to the busser who barely makes enough to feed his kids. I'm such a thief, right? I was never written up once.
They fired me without investigation. All this came shortly after I disclosed a mental health diagnosis.
The timing doesn't really add up. The management is getting worse the more promotions they give to bartenders and servers. The food is meh and overpriced.
The servers don't really partake unless it's free in my experience. The main idea is to retain the customer and go to any lengths to keep them. The floor is ridiculously slippery. Who puts tile in a restaurant? And lots of humgover/drunk employees. But whatever you do, don't tip the busser, or you will be fired without a thought. Regardless if you've gone above and beyond to be an excellent employee and team player for a year. As for drinks, I don't drink, so I wouldn't have ever tried one.
Courtney and Zoa are kind and considerate and treat employees like humans. The rest of the managers and "manager in training " are nightmares. Power-hungry, cruel, and neither emotional nor intellectual intelligence is a requirement for a l management position. Stay away for work or play.
Overpriced and poorly managed. The kitchen and ticket times are an hour or more on the weekends. I don't blame the guests for getting upset....
