This restaurant was my go to place to eat lunch or dinner for when I had a very long day or where i was too busy that day to cook a meal but didn't want to or just needed something quick to eat and move on with my day. I also enjoyed coming to this location because of specific employees that genuinely put a smile on my face, especially on the days i really needed it. Now that i think about it, I haven't seen her in a while so I am assuming she either quit which i wouldn't blame her because they treated her as if she was an imbecile and had a rock as a brain when she was really the reason most of us returned to eat inwhich i know because im very friendly person and interact with the other customers, and she always puts a smile on everyone's faces (even the ones that were extremely rude and even cursing her out) where we all hugged her when we see her and we all called her family because she was just so kind and sweeter than sugar and greated us like we were friends for a long time, not just me either. She was the only manager you'll ever see helping employees get the orders out fast. I told her repeatedly on how impressive her work ethic was and even tried to recruit her to my office for work but she was devoted to her job and kindly declined even with a $5.50 raise. If she got fired, then you made a big mistake as she was a great asset to the company. There were many of us customers that spoke while waiting for an hour for our orders about how we didnt want to ever dine there again because of the terrible service, prolonged waiting time, no reassurance by any employees or managers on how much longer, they ignore you when you ask for an eta, the previous two managers who would be everything except respectful and professional (im talking about the short carribean lady who im baffled that she would even be hired ANYWHERE, then the tall white guy which was so rude, treated the employees terrible, and smelled horrible as if he owned 25 cats and had them urinate on him as cologne, every time I came in, it was like he did nothing but yell at the employees. I had to step in with a few other customers because he called a young man stupid in front of all of us, it was sad and disappointing. It was a relief to see him go. Theres 3 more managers that need to be replaced with people who actually care, do their jobs instead of yelling, overly drilling employees, insulting employees, and actually help the employees succeed instead of watching them struggle and do nothing. The small rude egotistic mexican lady as she treats people like they are rudely interrupting her and disturbing her, the dark lady with the long braids and hat that doesnt fit her head is the rudest of them all. She talks tk customers like their concerns or missing food is an inconvenience to her and they need to suck it up or pay for another item, that one really surprised because I have worked in the food industry and thats not how you go about things to solve. The last one I believe should be gone IMMEDIATALLY is the young hatian man. There hasnt been a time where i didnt witness him arguing with a customer. I can say its almost every single time and its completely inappropriate because 1.its a restaurant 2.its your job 3.theres always kids there and if you cant handle it then why even work there? The only reason my family and i ever came back was for the wonderful experience lala provided and how much everyone stepped up their game for the time being, but now it seems like its heading back into its old ghetto ways. Read moreI placed my order online through the mobile app just before 5:00pm eastern time. I get to the restaurant and pay for my food at 5:25pm. Upon paying one of the team members says to me that they are just waiting on my tenders to be done. I notice it is busy in store at this time so no big deal. I sit and wait for my food. Mean while customers arriving after i have payed who also have placed online orders are getting their food within 5 minutes. The same team member who said she was waiting for my tenders is bringing the orders out and calling the customers by name to pick up there food but never call my name to grab my order. You can hear and see the frustration she has with other team members and customers who are asking about their order. At the same time i see she brings out a few orders and just sits them on the counter and goes back to the kitchen. So after the 5th person who comes in and grabs there online order. I look directly at the servers and before i could say anything one member notice my frustrated look and ask for my name. He goes over to the counter where they store the the food and grabs my order and holds it while he checks to see if i payed for my order. i walked in 30 minutes earlier while he attended a different customer and the 2nd team member proceeded my order and gave me my receipt right next to and in front of him. He gives me my bag no apology for the wait. I get in my truck take a bite of my fries and they were cold and tasted like they were not cooked all the way through. I go back in and asked them to please redo my fries. They just droped them in the fryer for a minute to heat them up and handed the order back to me. At this time its 6:00pm when im handed back my order. At this point im not even going to make a bigger deal out of it because after waiting over 30 minutes for my odrer after i arrive to pick it up i know my wings are also cold. Store need to do better making sure if someone has payed for their order and are patiently waiting that they frequently ensure that that order is being prepared in a timely manner and check with that customer to ensure service is being met. I placed my order over the phone and was told it would take 45 mins to an hour. After waiting a full hour, when I arrived I had to wait outside THEN wait in line to pay. My order THEN was put in line to be made with everyone else’s orders regardless of whether you called in or walked in. What’s the point of calling in or ordering online?
After paying, I was told it would be another 15-20 mins. After 20 mins, I was told it would be another 20-25 mins. At that point I just asked for my money back. Several other people were complaining or just left. The manager George showed not a care in the world and even had an attitude about the whole experience. He told the cashier to refund my money and then said this happens every Super Bowl Sunday. Here’s my gripe...read the other reviews...it is not just that Sunday where delays and customer service was bad. Also why not staff up more for this busy day? Why allow phone orders if it doesn’t do anything for the customer? Why continue to take phone order while customers are waiting and you’re grossly backed up? George and another worker stayed on the phones the whole time we were there taking more orders and just compounding the problem. And through all of this the manager has an attitude and the workers were either distraught or showed not a care in the world.
Last it was unsafe. When I arrived, I was told I had to wait outside as only 10 people were allowed inside. Makes sense. BUT when I was allowed in, I was the 16th person. By the time I left without my food, there were 27 people inside. Many grouped together waiting for their orders with masks pulled below their nose and mouth talking and complaining. In a pandemic, this place was creating its own super spreader.
