The 2 Star is for that the food is good, especially their Pad Thai. Now I'd like to share the following. A lot of these restaurants that are part of our neighborhoods are still in existence due to us, the neighbors. We are the ones that make their success known to our other neighbors and out-of-towners. The problem is that once they feel the success they get MONEY HUNGRY and begin to cut corners for example; Today I order one of the best plates they promote " The Pad Thai" and i asked for the Dinner Pad Thai which should be a large portion AND that is not what I got. I explained to the lady that I had been ordering Pad Thai from them for several years and the container I got was a lunch or small container, The "Sales lady" try to sell me it was a large portion; I asked the obvious whcih was what is the container you use for the lunch/ small pad thai and she said they use the SAME ONE lol lol ☺☺☺ at this point I obviously was not going to argue with this person so I paid the $17.12 for a small plate/bowl. My cell phone is almost as big as the food of the plate. Unfortunately, for them They have lost my business, Donna's Business, Irma's Business, Jasmine's Business, Joshua's Business, Roxanne's Business, Crystal's Business, and Jayson's Business which equals $136.96 per month X 12 MONTHS = $1,643.52 BUT wait for those who want to be treated with respect I found another 2 restaurants that sell Pad Thai in the Hallandale Beach Area. I will confirm before I post it. Thank you for your time reading my experience

It was my first dine-in visit today; I had the Tom Kha (Veggie), Spring Rolls and the Pad Thai (Veggie). The ambiance is very nice; its generally clean, plenty of seats, up-beat music (not to loud) and soft lighting; The bathroom is clean but smells funny because there is no ventilation. While there is a wall unit A/C, it was not on - the lack of climate control in the facilities is weird and does not go over well! The wait staff, on the other hand, is exceedingly friendly, attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food was lacking and left much to be desired. I've kind of become an expert on Tom Kha Gai soup, as it's one of my favorites. This had to be the worst one I've ever had! The only good thing I can say about it is that it came out quickly and was hot. Otherwise, I feel it was what I would have come up with if someone asked my to make it - for the first time. The spring rolls were fresh and delicious - the best thing I had at this establishment. Lastly, the Veggie Pad Thai was so bad that I had to send it back. I didn't even want them to remake it. Instead, I chose the egg fried rice - to go. It wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. I like the fact that they brought the POS charging system to my table - this way, your cc never leaves your possession. I'm giving this a three out of five stars and I think I'm being fair and exceedingly generous.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Urban Sushi and Thai on Hallandale Beach Boulevard is by far our favorite spot for sushi and Thai cuisine! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is consistently outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A huge part of what makes this place special is Surin, the manager. He knows our names, our orders, and always makes us feel like family. That level of personal attention is rare and makes every visit feel like a treat. When Surin isn’t around, Melanie is just as amazing, ensuring we’re well taken care of. The kitchen team, Jonathan and Ronaldo, work magic with their sushi and dishes – everything we’ve tried has been delicious. We dine here almost every night when we’re not at home or a fancy restaurant, and it never disappoints. One of the highlights was when Surin graciously allowed us to bring our own desserts to celebrate New Year’s and the last night of Hanukkah. It’s those little touches that keep us coming back. If you’re in the Hallandale Beach area and love sushi or Thai food, Urban Sushi and Thai is a must-visit. Thank you to Surin, Melanie, Jonathan, and Ronaldo for always making our experiences unforgettable!

Here’s the thing guys. Your restaurant is in miami. Therefore you will have black patrons. Learn to accept that and treat them with the same respect as everyone else. I came here today because I liked the review and I enjoy checking out different locations in my hometown of miami. My favorite food is Thai food. I saw they had lunch til three showed up at 2:10. Before they close down for dinner service at 4:30. I arrived and ordered. For context I’m a mom of two under 6 y/o so this is really special to me. When I get my food my female server stops interacting with me. When I finally ask for some hot chili oil or spice I flag a male waiter down. He brings me a hot sauce they have but no later than 5 minutes later comes up to my table to tell me they close at 3. There had been a couple tables near by who had been there before I arrived and didn’t get this talk. You can imagine what color they were. My waitress finally come up to me to ask me if u don’t like the food in a way to signify “ why haven’t you left yet?” . At this point I decide to slowly enjoy my food: at around 2:50 a customer comes in white male he is able to order at “ the last minute “ and sit and enjoy his food without anyone * gasp* coming up to him and letting him know he has a few minutes to eat. Also the tables that have been there since before I came in have been able to enjoy and continue to eat their meal without having anyone come up to them and tell them they need to leave soon. How nice is that. After I finished my food I left. I’m sure the waiters had a great time talking down on me and my lack of tip. How can I tip somewhere I feel unwanted? Little did you know how much I was excited to tip. I refuse to be almost kicked out and give you a reward for that. Learn how to respect...

My experience goes as follows. We were greeted warmly for a table of two which we picked out, after sitting for about 3 minutes we were asked if we can move to a different table (which a man just left from). As we took our new seats the table was not prepped yet from the previous customer & unfortunately my seat smelled terrible, but I decided to not say anything to not continue the game of hot potato with seating so I stayed quiet. We ordered two thai teas which happens to be now my favorite place to go for that.

We started off with a Tom kha soup which was very milky and white which did not resemble a tom kha at all. Soon after we moved to the rolls where I ordered an Unagi roll and partner a traditional JB roll. After a rough start (aside from the teas) we were optimistic things would get better. It didn't. Upon receiving our rolls there was little to no eel at all in the Unagi and hardly any salmon in the JB. Then after trying - I hate to say Ive never had less fresh sushi that night in all my life. The seaweed + rice together was NOT fresh and chewy so (for both rolls) it took forever to properly chew it down to swallow. Moving on to the dessert we ordered thai donuts, after receiving them the server let out a "freshhh" which we thought was odd considering the food from earlier was not. The donuts ended up being delicious and indeed, fresh.

All in all I have to say that the server was very nice and respectful in how he handled himself. I believe we caught this place on a bad night so Im giving it neutral reviews and I like to be fair. There are pros and cons but not enough to sway me one way or the other.

Thank you for the...

After checking so many reviews on this place and it being so close to home I couldn't let this one slide. Urban Sushi has some pro's and some cons. The good first. The service is awesome the server was really paying attention to us although the place was sort of packed which was good to see The resturant looks nice , feel's cool and has a nice modern look to it. The cons are a few there not back breaking but cause for some concern. We ordered 4 rolls ...there price point is a little high but ok. The spicy tuna has a filler added to it so u can actually taste a ton of fried flakes that they blend with it so it makes the spicy tuna taste a little bland and not spicy at all. The spicy mayo on the tables lack kick ...tons of mayo and no sriracha no bueno. The bag of gold was a great appetizer , small rice bags of goodness. Perfectly fried and crispy. The Salad with ginger dressing was average. The dressing was watery. And the sushi rolls we got where the shrimp rock,The exit and another roll I can't Remember. The rolls werent bad but there where super cold ..because the sushi chef waited to serve all four rolls so the hot ones got cold as he was making other rolls to complete our order. The presentation was super and although I was excited they missed the mark on the simple stuff. Then the kicker shows up out of nowhere. The waiter tells me " if you do a review on one of these platforms you get 10% off... wow now I know why this place has so many so called good reviews. Something is off and honestly I'm not sure I come back. The bag of Gold is tempting , but will there be amazing food at the end of the rainbow?...
