HORRIBLE, OBNOXIOUS behaviour from the OWNER! AVOID this place by all means!
Unfortunately for us, I and my family decided to have lunch at this place today. We were on vacation and had a great mood till the moment we went to this place..
I wish I have read ALL the reviews before we walked in, in that case we would’ve avoided this place by all means.
We have no idea how they got such good rating on Google but pretty sure that all good reviews were either “sponsored” by complimentary food or written by friends and family. Anyways, if you have a little time and scroll down all the reviews, you’ll notice and there are plenty of them given a one star ☝🏻 And ALL of them stating the same problem- disrespect and rude customer service. What was the most shocking part for me that it’s coming from the OWNER who is supposed to care about his business.
According to his rude responses to those honest one star reviewers he has been in business for a quite long time and sadly for everyone , he is not learning from his mistakes and not looking for room to improve.
Now we know why all those customers leaving one star were feeling disrespected and mistreated from our very own todays experience.
First, we felt super unwelcomed when we walked in but that’s nothing comparable to what happened in the next 10 min.
We ordered food and sat down. The next couple minutes after we took a seat we experienced the unheard wild and obnoxious behaviour by the owner. He passed by our table, suddenly turned around and came up super close, leaned over the table and grabbed one of the cups that we brought with us. We had 3 clear Starbucks cups with iced coffee in them. Without saying a word, he grabbed one of our drinks and started reading the name and supposedly the content of the coffee on its sticker. Apparently, the whipped cream on my coffee threw him off. He started to yell at me that “this drink can’t be in my restaurant” because…are you ready for it? It’s a dairy product..and I have to leave with it. I was frozen in my chair, I was so scared, shocked and not understanding what’s exactly going on and why my iced coffee can make someone so mad! He looked so aggressive and threatening. Another guy behind the kiosk ran to our table to join this bizarre attack. They were both yelling and waving their hands in the direction of the door forcing us to leave.
Apparently, according to their religion and believes you are not supposed to mix dairy products and meats in one meal. I learned that from Google after we left. Why in the world would anyone know that if you are not a Jew.
There is not a single sign on the door or inside the restaurant saying “no outside drinks”, “no dairy products”, or “no not Jews admission”. For god sake, if the whipped cream offends or contradicts your holly believes put a sign on your restaurant, so the person is aware of it and decide if he or she wants to go through that door.
I would not have any problem if it was said in a polite manner, your place - your rules I get it but please make OTHER people aware of it beforehand, instead of grabbing their personal belongings and kicking them out. Complete disrespect and wilderness towards people with different religions and believes. Mr Owner, you are living in the US and there are all kinds of people, races, religions, customs, etc. The rule of thumb, treat others with respect and the way you want to be treated and I doubt you would like this type of behaviour if you and your family were in our shoes today.
To sum up my long review, please avoid this place by all means if you want to get a decent food and customer service experience we all people deserve.
There are plenty of the other great places with Mediterranean food with a way better service and attitudes in Miami area.
First and last time for us for sure. Bad, horrible, disgusting experience!
I hope the owner reads this review and finally will learn something from it and rethink his behaviour and approach doing the business. If not, that’s ok too. Time will show if that’s the right...
Read moreIf you’re a fan of authentic Middle Eastern food, do yourself a favor and visit Homos Achla. This place is an absolute gem — the kind of spot you stumble upon once and immediately know you’ll be coming back again and again.
First of all, the hummus here is on a whole different level. I’ve had hummus in Israel, and this brought me right back to that taste — smooth, rich, fresh, and full of depth. I ordered the hummus with mushrooms, and the combination was heavenly. The mushrooms were sautéed in olive oil with just the right amount of seasoning, served hot on top of the creamy hummus, along with a drizzle of tahini and fresh parsley. Every bite with their warm, pillowy pita bread was perfect.
But the hummus is just the beginning. Their falafel is probably the best I’ve had in the area — crispy on the outside, fluffy and flavorful on the inside, and never greasy. You can tell they make everything fresh. The falafel plate comes with salads, tahini, pickles, and more — a well-balanced, filling meal. I also tried their shawarma laffa, and it was loaded with juicy, spiced meat, crunchy vegetables, and creamy sauces all wrapped in a fresh laffa bread. Every flavor felt bold, homemade, and satisfying.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. It’s a casual spot, but with heart. The staff is kind, patient, and clearly passionate about what they serve. Even when it gets busy, they stay attentive and friendly.
If you’re craving real Israeli/Middle Eastern comfort food made with love, Homos Achla delivers every single time. Highly recommended for a quick lunch, casual dinner, or a flavorful bite that hits the soul. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreMost people here leaving fake reviews is their friends. I was in the area of Hallandale and decided to give Hummus Achla a try. When you first walk in you hear workers yelling with their loud voices across to each other. This place sounded more like a gym than place to eat. I was standing to order Shawarma Pita, It took forever waiting for the order to be completed because workers were busy speaking Hebrew about unrelated things. $13.38 for Shawarma Pita which was really bad what looked like really bad chicken and it was greasy. The pita was the size of small American donut and it was empty. Here's what made me laugh order taker said I don't want to fill up the pita because there won't be any more room. Sure you are going to use a mini Pita and run out of space to put others things in the sandwich due to it's size what are you going to expect? Don't be fooled by the great reviews, I bet all left by the owner his friends. Watch the movie: You Don't Mess with the Zohan. these Israeli's were the going out of business everything must go scam version of the movie. One of the workers were preparing the food and his face masked was exposing his nose not a very safe and healthy environment during Covid-19. This place gives a bad name to Israel, Jews, and Israeli's. There are other places in the area like Pita Plus who's are not cheap with the size of their Pita and food portions. This place gives you nothing for the money all they know is how to charge for really bad food. I got received bad heartburn from this place. I understand you want to make profit but public is not here for you to provide bad service and food and to pay your...
