Dunkin' — Restaurant in Hamden

I haven't been to this DD on Skiff St. Hamden for man years. I stopped on Friday, January 28, 2022 about 2:30 to get a few donuts. I had the choice of stopping at the Whitney Ave. DD and Whitney Donuts, both on Whitney Ave. There was one car in front of me when I pulled up and no cars pulled up in back of me. I waited for what seemed like a strangely long time. How could it take that long to place any kind of order?? Finally I was able to pull up near the speaker. I looked at the menu on the wall of the building. The donut images were on the lower left but there was a shrub in front of 1/3 of the donut images and names. I could not tell what they were. The choices were from 6 kind of donuts. It took a little longer to get the names of the donuts from the employee but I ordered 4, one of two kinds and 2 on one kind. by then there were at least 5 cars behind me probably wondering what was taking so long. I pulled up to window and waited for my order to be filled. No one was at the window. When a woman eventually arrived I asked if she was both taking and filling orders. She said NO, that there was someone taking the orders. So, where was she? She then did a calculation and $2.and change appeared. She was waiting for me to pay. I said to her is that the price for 4 donuts? She said, Oh, and disappeared. Waiting. She came back with bag and the register gave a price that seemed reasonable for my order. I asked her if there were 4 donuts in the bag. Yes. I gave her money, she gave me bag, and returned correct change for the bills but no change. I mentioned that and she then gave me the change I was also owed. it wasn't much but it was correct. I assumed, incorrectly, that the register receipt was in the bag. No, it was not. What a clean place with disgustingly rude people. They take forever. They always have an attitude . I stopped going there 4 weeks ago when these rude ass kids gave me a sandwich with burnt bacon on it and my donut tasted like it was rubbed in between someone's ass cheeks. I have never tasted a donut so nasty! Then they did not want to give me back my money back or the managers contact info. I used to work at Dunkin and I faithfully go to the Dunkin right around the corner on Whitney ave. 7 of my co workers who have been there a few times say its horrible! My patient just busted out w how horrible it was getting coffee from them yesterday and his wife hates it. I can't imagine the manager not knowing what's going on over there cause it is their job 2know👌 which in a way is sick because how disgusting of a person that manager has 2b 2train and employ people and let these kids/workers carry on like that. Plus there is a Spanish guy who always looks hung over and pissed that u came to order when going 2this dunkin. I asked to speak w the manager 1 day and I got a black girl w major attitude and she looked like she was high. Dunkin need to get IT 2GETHER ON SKIFF STREET IN HAMDEN,CT. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE DISGUSTING THE FOOD IS BAD THE ATTITUDES ARE BAD THE LINES ARE LONG DEDICATE AT LEAST 15 MIN IF U WANT TO GET STUCK IN LINE AND HAVE #UCKED UP...

This is the 2nd time I went to Dunkin and either over charged or shorted me of my order. Today I ordered the bacon & cheese rollups, 2 diet cokes and 2 orders of hashbrowns ( I order this all the time) Got to work, had only 1 order of hashbrowns. I didn't have the time to go back because of needing to be at work on time or I would have.

Another issue is when I paid, I was asking about ketchup (sometimes I move my hand around,) so the lady took my change in through it in her cup. I asked her if she just threw my change in her cup and she told me that she thought I was motioning her to put the change in her tip cup, when I was only asking about ketchup. I am sorry, I sometimes do tip, but things are tight and I have to work hard for what I get.

And lastly, the time it takes to place an order and obtain your food is ridiculously crazy. Been plenty of times, I got out of line because of how long it took. Didn't see them have gloves on, standing around chatting about people who go through the drive through, and yes, I know because they were talking about the lady in front of me while I was awaiting on my food at the window. I won't be going back there again. I will go to another Dunkin' location and hope for...
