Hamden Mart — Local services in Hamden

Great place to get a lot of your shopping done. Shop Rite is of course the main attraction but having shops like Party City, Pearle Vision, and plenty of places to grab a quick bite it's one stop shopping. Also it's extremely close to Walmart and the Edge as well as Starbucks. The Hamden Mart is the one place you can go and really spend a good amount of time and accomplish a lot. It's also very easy to get in and out of but be careful because the parking lot is a nightmare of dead ends, awkward dividers, and people who can't seem to figure out where to look for incoming traffic. Hamden used to be nice for shopping, unfortunately there's a bit of crime happening at plaza and mart area and some sketchy looking people hanging around. Its just not a good feeling shopping there when last night's news was another mugging/carjacking/purse snatching. Theres shopping carts in parking area near Aldi's that look like they belong to homeless people filled with bottles and clothes hanging off the sides and people begging for money or even sleeping in the clothes collection boxes. Its scary to drop clothes off and have someone suddenly appear from nowhere asking for money. I don't feel comfortable shopping...

Other than the price being so high I'm being really the only grocery store and a decent distance it's like an Aldi's make sure you bring a bag or a box for your own groceries you can buy bags there you can't take the car out with you to your car it has to stay in the store they take it from you as soon as your groceries are out of it when you're done checking I thought that was kind of dickish but they have...
