Taco King — Restaurant in Hamden

Spent almost $42.00 for cold taste rice in all four of our entrees. Bland, cold rice. Ordered two shrimp combos. The shrimp had hard, crunchy ? Items in it, also lukewarm. The black beans with tasteless, really thick and lukewarm.

This use to be my favorite go to Mexican Restaurant. I don’t know why they have changed the quality of their good, yet the prices are higher, but, I will be looking for another Mexican restaurant moving forward.

Really disappointed in the quality of all four of our items. Had been a loyal customer since they opened here in Hamden

I never post reviews, but I had to warn others.. the staff was very friendly, but unfortunately I was highly disappointed with their food. I thought it was suspicious that it came in Chinese packaging, and the food was NOTHING close to authentic Mexican food. Not to be mean, but it seems like a 5 year old could have made my enchilada. The black beans tasted just like Bushes Baked Beans, not authentic at all, and everything tasted less than mediocre. I will never waste my money there again.

Honestly WOW. Pleasantly surprised for my first time ordering. My steak burrito was hot,fresh and delicious. Ordering was super easy,order taker and delivery guy were super friendly and order was delivered in a very timely fashion.
