Maria's — Restaurant in Hamilton

Way overpriced. I called in to pick up 3 dinner orders and a chip and guacamole. They charged $6.50 for a tiny ketchup/ranch sized cup literally for guacamole. For a whole bag of chips, maybe 4 got guacamole. $65 was the total for everything. 3 Tiny dry steak tacos full of nothing but onion and cilantro, a decent steak burrito with way too much rice and we asked for no tomatoes and it was FULL of tomatoes, a beef burrito, with rice and beans, and bag of chips and guacamole. When I went to the restaurant to pick up my order, I looked in the bag and noticed there was no salsa or any kind of sauces for three dinners. I asked the lady if I could have some salsa. She told me that it would be $4.50 extra. I placed a phone order, and arrived 20 minutes later to pick it up. They had no idea where my ticket went. Seriously? There was NO ONE in the restaurant. She grabbed a ticket as if to take my order. They were super unfriendly and rude about it. All the staff were teenagers….not that that is bad, but there was not a clear “adult” supervisor there. They didn’t even apologize…acted like messed up somehow. I will never go back. Mind you, I was getting food for someone who is under the weather, so I didn’t have time to wait for them to make it then. We called around town for a Mexican restaurant who would prepare a large meal for our family reunion of 20! Maria’s was amazing. We ordered 40 enchiladas, a huge patter of beans and rice, salsa chips and guacamole and we were so impressed. Everyone raved about the enchiladas, the chicken was tender and fresh and the sauce so yummy. The beans were delicious, the rice amazing and the guacamole and salsa delicious. At the last minutes we asked for 2 dairy free additions and that was no problem. Thank you Maria’s for making our Family Reunion dinner so special.
