The Casual Pint has such a hometown feel. We went in for a lunch and met the owner. It’s not very often you walk into a place and the owner greets you with open arms and a smile. The owner Ann Marie has a real heart for community and I am so glad she is here. We had great conversation, which I’m sure made the food that much better. It’s crazy, they have been here 3 years and this is the first time I was in, but will not be the last. I of course posted these pictures on my socials and sent friends running to try The Casual Pint. I had the chicken quesadilla (spicy) and it was delicious. The other picture is the BBQ chicken flatbread minus the bacon. I didn’t try it, was told it was delicious!

Stopped into The Casual Pint while in Hamilton, Ohio, while staying across the street at the Marriott. First thing you notice is the wide selection of beers available. So many in-house flavors and specialties! They also offer all the regular beer choices if craft beer is not your thing. The bartender was very friendly and helpful with advice about food and drink choices. We ended up going with the Philly Cheesesteak flatbread....and it was amazing! Really wanted to try the poutine, but after reading the menu, realized it didn't have cheese curds, only shredded cheese. But overall, I would love to come back to The Causal Pint....friendly service, good food, and a great, safe location.

The food was delicious and the space is clean and carefully laid out. However, the kitchen seems totally inadequate for the menu they’re selling. Went for lunch with 5 on a Friday afternoon and the first thing we were told was “we have a small kitchen so all your food may not come out together.” The place was busy, but not crowded and right they were. The last person in our party didn’t get food until the first few had already finished their meal. I was so looking forward to Hamilton having a new FOOD option and not just another beer joint. I hope a good bar scene will allow them to expand the kitchen to serve the menu properly.

First time there. never been to a place that was so confused. You walk in, no sign or host to tell you to seat yourself. Waited forever to get service. Then being a non beer drinker they don't server alcohol other than wine, so I tried to order a Ice Tea, they don't have that, so I tried to order a sprite they don't have that, options were coke, or mellow yellow (YUK) so they offered root beer, which I settled for, and it was flat, so then I got a diet coke, and that was flat. There were 3 of us dinning, and we placed our order, I ordered the chicken flat bread, my other friend ordered western egg rolls, and 3rd friend order brat with sauerkraut. After waiting for over 20mins the girl comes out holding up chicken flat bread yelling who order the flat bread, and before I could say I did, some lady sitting across from us yelled out, I did...I did (guess she was waiting awhile for hers also) then another 10mins she comes out and sets one down in front of me and said did you order a flat bread. So we thought our food was finally going to come out, but I ate mine(without any plates or silverware (sorry plastic ware) because they never gave us any) then 10mins later they tried to bring me another one, I said I already got mine, she said, I think that was someone elses( we asked where our other food was, she said they were working on it) then 10 mins later they brought just one of my friends food out, and 5 mins later brought my 3rd friend his food (but it was wrong) but at this point he ate it, we were not about to wait any longer for anything. I think they need to teach their servers how to number tables, know where the food goes, and they also need to teach the kitchen when a ticket order comes in, you don't prepare just one of the items on the ticket, and make the other items wait. I just never saw such confusion in my whole life and we eat out quit a bit. I know we will...

Not bad , not great. Service is great except for the hostile greeting of "YOU NEED TO WEAR A MASK IF YOU STAND UP". I said "you can assume I have a medical condition" and that was the end of that. There is really no need for that. And don't get me started on the insanity of forcing unsanitary cross-contaminated masks which are spreading the virus on every person. Everyone I know who has worn a mask has gotten covid. For the dining experience you get a little bit of food with a lot of calories for a steep price. It would have been much better if I wasn't paying for the entire bag of chi-chi's chips and only getting a handful. Or 1/4 cup of generic thick salsa that tastes like the one that other chain restaurants serve which is mostly flavorless. The brat was good but looks smaller in person than on the pictures. The bartender was helpful in picking out the perfect craft brew based on what I told him I liked. After eating I was wishing I had gone to a local Mexican restaurant I like which has the most amazing self-made chips and self-made salsa with 3 enchiladas for about 1/2 the price. This place needs to step it up and make their brats more like the ones at The Senate in downtown Cincinnati if they are going to charge that...

“The Pint” as my wife and I call it, is one of if, not our favorite places to go in Hamilton. The food is great. I highly recommend the burger specials, the Mac and cheese specials or even the sidewinder poutine. All fantastic. The menu is ever evolving and we love trying everything new that appears. As for the staff. The employees are some the best I’ve had the pleasure getting to know. They are all very friendly and super knowledgeable. Ryan is a standout. Please do yourself a favor and go in on an afternoon Ryan is working. If you’re interested in craft beer there aren’t many people I’ve met who can give you a better suggestion on what to try based off of your tastes. He will also give the rundown of where it’s from and how it’s made. On top of that the staff are all just good people to have a good conversation with. Do yourself a favor and check out this gem in the up and...
