Although there seems to be a zillion chicken finger places today, there are NONE like CANE'S!!
I moved out of Louisiana to a state that doesn't have one (yes, it IS heartbreaking!), so EVERY time I go home I simply MUST have Cane's, multiple times... and I always order it extra crispy (chicken and fries, "almost burned"), with a large sweet tea ("heavy, heavy ice")... and I'm (usually) never disappointed! The Cane's staffers go above and beyond to make each visit a memorable one!
Where does the "usually" come in, you may be wondering... well, on my trip last week, when I stopped at the Cane's in Hammond, LA... "Strike One": I was told there would be "no extra anything" because it was "against the rules"... and it ended up being a tremendous waste of time and money, because, of course they had me pull out of the drive-thru to wait for my "special order" (extra ice in my sweet tea). "Strike Two": After 20 minutes of waiting, I walked inside to find my "special order" languishing on the counter. They "were busy and forgot" that I was outside waiting. "Strike Three": I was one very unhappy older lady when I discovered my $18+ purchase consisted of soggy fries, pale, limp chicken fingers, and "extra ice" sweet tea with already-melted ice at the top, with tea that just got warmer the closer you got to the bottom of the cup. Needless to say, when I discovered that awful mess, I cut my losses and tossed that nasty stuff away. LESSON LEARNED: DO NOT patronize the Cane's in Hammond, Louisiana!!
However, I got back on Interstate 12 and made my way to Denham Springs, where I promptly pulled into the line at the closest Denham Springs Canes, gave my standard order of extra crispy chicken and fries ("almost burned"), with a large sweet tea ("heavy, heavy ice")... and within a few minutes was happily munching away on my favorite, super crispy chicken fingers and fries and sipping on my favorite super icy iced tea!! What a delightful experience. LESSON LEARNED: Always go to a Cane's you've patronized in the past (I used to live in Denham Springs). They will treat you right and you will leave with a huge smile...
Read moreRUDE workers! First off the lady taking the orders through the drive thru was in a rush. I ordered a Caniac and before I could order a side of fries (NO SUBSTITUTIONS) she had attitude asking for my drink. I said calmly I need a side of fries and extra sauce, she replied “what’s your drink?” ! I asked for sweet tea. I get up to the window and look at receipt and she had “no slaw, extra fries”. I specifically ordered a side of fries on purpose as they come in a different box. I told her -she said with another attitude “they gon give to you at second window”. So I get up there and my fries aren’t there. They just gave me a slaw. So the girl at the 2nd window says with attitude “what’s the problem ?” I tell her everything above and she closes window starts talking to someone and comes back and says “you gonna have to pay for the fries” I replied “yes I know that! However if this was done correctly and patiently while I was ordering I would’ve already had it paid” she accidentally drops a water in the car at that point. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at this location or...
Read moreLine is long as always. The service is terrible at the mall location. Went tonight and the line was not moving. So i went inside and i went to get in line. This large group came from the drink machine side a couple seconds after i arrived at the counter. I was completely ignored. Get a policy going on your line. It should go one way. Am i wrong?
I left and we never return to canes again. Everytime i come there is an issue. Especially the location at the mall.
This is resturant priced food with service worse than Mcdonalds. 13 dollars for 4 small pieces of chicken!
Chil fil a is the place to be if you want service.
The manager was nice and said he would look into it. But we all know they wont. Have fun in that drive thru line and definitely ...
