Finally made it here after trying a couple times to go very popular local spot and they close early sometimes due to just selling out a product which I think is a testament to their offerings after being able to get here asked for some questions about what they did still have my girlfriend and I both decided on the original sticky, which was absolutely amazing hands-down the best sticky bun I’ve ever had. We did also get the optional pumpkin butter to spread on top or just dip it And that was a very nice ad the places and anything special per se. It’s just a little retail front with a few tables I think most people get to go. We did sit down and eat because we were out running around for the day, but I got the impression that the woman who helped us was probably the owner very helpful. Very Knowledgeable. I actually observed her talking to the woman who ordered ahead of us to go and was just giving her quality recommendations on how long it would keep optimally when she heated it up how to heat it up so that it didn’t dry it out which I thought was very Impressive. Even with there to go products they still want you to have the best experience and although they do sell some through the retail outlets locally, I never wanted to try them through one of the local retail spots. I wanted to try directly here and it was really good. I mean, what can you say? They have a couple different sticky buns the original one was absolutely amazing. I definitely...
Read moreIt's Saturday morning and I thought we'd get Mr. Sticky's as a treat. We don't live far from the Carlisle Pike location, so that's where he went to pick them up. Comes home walks in the door, instant story how we just missed the fresh ones out of the oven and not sure how long these were sitting there. Immediate bad vibes and not what you want to hear. I reasoned, wouldn't they sell the older ones first before the fresh? First, it was not a nice half dozen tray like usual, but individually packed in multiple small styrofoam containers. Worse, they were cold and did not have much cinnamon on them. I could have just made Pillsbury ones yesterday to now have cold ones sitting on my counter, but I wanted hot, fresh, and better. I might have accepted what we got today from a diner, but this is all they make! Not to mention how much more they charge, which would definitely be worth it for great pastries, but that's not what we received. Should have put more stock in the reviews of this location. We can...
Read moreGot a walnut sticky bun and a frosted cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll comes unfrosted and with a cup of frosting on the side. The portion of frosting is generous, but a note - they were about to run out of frosting when I ordered. They may have underestimated their demand early on, so this may not be a problem going forward, but be aware.
The walnut sticky bun was fantastic, and I feel comfortable saying that the plain sticky bun would also be great.
The cinnamon roll was good, but if you're looking for just a cinnamon roll, Cinnabon's rolls and frosting are better, in my personal opinion. The sticky buns are the star of the show here, and you should go for them.
I will definitely be a return customer. The buns are priced around $5 each, but it's a reasonable price for the portion and quality - this is a sometimes treat, not an everyday breakfast, and when you're getting a sometimes treat, you gotta treat yourself. This place...
