First time visiting, likely to be my last as well. Pros: food was cooked well and tasted great! Lots of food for the price giving it good value. Had the cajun seasoning, it came out quite well. Also, the staff was very friendly. Cons: Although friendly, the staff was also very inattentive. Waited too long for drink or appetizer orders, had to flag down waitstaff several times during the meal for refills, had to bring the check to the host to pay the bill. But the MUSIC. It was so LOUD! It totally ruined the whole meal. It seemed the waitstaff had the music at a volume that would entertain them during their shift, at a decibel level somewhere between a crowded bar and an active runway. With the music so loud, patrons had to yell to hear each other, which further raised the decibel level. Definitely NOT a family atmosphere, do not bring small children or those that suffer from excessive environmental stimuli. But to top it all off, one of the families had an infant child that they had difficulty keeping quiet (probably from the loud music) and the one of the waitstaff could be heard making snarky remarks about how crying babies shouldn't be...
Read moreWell, it was my 1st time going there, and I must say it was DISAPPOINTING to say the least. Went with a friend and we ordered a K4 for $26 1/2lb shrimp, snow crab and sausage in a mild garlic type sauce, along with happy hour drinks, 6 JKC wings(fried and tossed in the house sauce) and an order of hush puppies. Received the drinks from Mel the server, pretty promptly. It went downhill from there. It wasn't PACKED but our food took an EXTREMELY long time to come out. 1st out was the seafood bag. It was mediocre at best. Idk what the oil is in the bag, but it's a lot and it doesn't taste like BUTTER. IJS. The seasoning is VISIBLE, but you don't get the full flavor of what you see. Then, I had to ask for the manager, when the apps hadn't come out before or after the seafood, which was my food and it had already been almost 2hrs wait time🤦. . Yes, they did comp the $7 wings but even they weren't that good. Wait! The ONLY silver lining to this story is the HUSH PUPPIES!!! SWEET has corn in them and a PERFECT little bite with what tasted like bang bang sauce! So, IF I ever go back it will be for the...
Read moreJuicy King Crab House left much to be desired during my visit. The highlight of any boil is undoubtedly the broth - a rich, flavorful, and buttery delight. However, their version fell flat as it lacked the expected robustness and seemed more like a watered-down mixture with hints of chicken broth, a dash of Old Bay seasoning, and just a touch of minced garlic. Needless to say, this was quite disappointing.
Before my visit, I had the option to choose between Juicy King Crab House and Mr. Boil, having already tried their NN location and Twisted Crab. In retrospect, I should have heeded the warnings in the reviews and opted for another spot. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with no intention of revisiting.
DH, enjoyef the Catfish & hush puppies that he ordered so our meal wasn't a total bust.
On a positive note, our server Rae was an absolute sweetheart and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Despite this, it wasn't enough to salvage the overall disappointment caused by the lackluster broth and underwhelming...
