Picture it: a party of 2 being sat down at 8pm and only attended to by a server after flagging them down at 8:30pm. The server did share that they were busy so our food would "take a while". At that moment, we appreciated the transparency and decided that we would stay. We placed our entire order and requested that our drinks and salads come out early. 8:45pm we were served our drinks, ceasar caesar salad and order of hushpuppies. The hushpuppies and Cesar salads were delicious unfortunately the pomegranate martini only tasted like vodka-I requested the same drink but less strong and when it was returned by about 9:30pm it was still flavorless and overpowering. My company and I continued to talk and noticed the restaurant emptying out while we still had not been served our main courses. At 10:30pm our server came over and said that the kitchen is completely backed up and that if we were interested in staying a little while longer we could-the restaurant was closing at 11pm on this Saturday. At this point my guest and I lost our appetites and just wanted to get the check, we didn't even bother speaking with the manager because after sitting for 2.5hours with no main course, poorly made drinks, and neglect from the servers it was clear that this is a reflection of management as well. I would never recommend this place to anyone and will never be back. Disappointing and disorganized are understatements....
Read moreWent there cause we wanted to give the new place a try. The waitress brought our drinks and took our order and never returned. Tried to get her attention but she kept walking past us like she had tunnel vision. Had to get up and talk to another waitress to add to our order. We ordered the #2 which came with 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of crab legs and rice. 30 minutes the waitress comes back with food, only for it to not be ours.... 15 minutes later she comes back and asked us what DoD we order, THEN says "Did you guys get it yet?" No joke. Finally after a hour, food comes out, and its only shrimp and potatoes AND they mixed the order up. Oh btw No crab legs. Had to get up and tell the manager we were missing crab legs cause the waitress just dropped the food off and left. Manager attempted to make things right and told us crab legs were coming. 20 minutes later, they hit our table. By that time we didnt even want to eat there anymore. Took the food home so I don't even know if it's good or not. While sitting there, we overheard a few customers complaining about the service also. And the bad thing is, it was not busy. Smh. SERVICE sucks. I will never go back to that place. Gonna stick to Pier 88. Wish I could give it 1/4 of a star, and that's only cause the sweet tea was good. OH, did I mention they gave us a plastic fork and spoon, and paper plates that had Halloween size candy on it... I can't...
Read moreThis place need a lot of work. First of all this place is huge & when we walked in for their 1st week of opening on that Sat, the place was empty. We have been to many crab boil type restaurants so we were very familiar on how this usually works. They offer crab Rangoons for appetizer, don't order them... Not a string of crab & very sweet, they don't offer the sweet & sour sauce that usually comes with it at any other place. One of the choices for the crab boil was steam white rice, I never seen that offered. Usually the boil bags would have potatoes & sausage that comes with your seafood selection, but they just include potatoes & broccoli which I think makes a difference in how the taste turns out. It was very bland, not awful but why would I spend that kind of money when I can go to any of the other places that have flavored bursting out of the bag... Like Mr. Boil, Peer 88 or the Twisted Crab. I don't recommend this place, they need to improve...
