Non-inclusive hipster bar, don’t expect to feel welcomed unless you’re a devoted hipster with band shirts you don’t listen to and tattoos you don’t know the meaning of, rip
Edit in response to owner: I came into your bar whole heartedly ready to include and enjoy my time, but I don’t have tattoos, and felt quite judged and met with big ego from another patron. I’m saying the environment isn’t inclusive because when I brought up that I felt disrespected in a kind and gentle way I was met with more ego, mocked and then told to find another bar. I’m sorry that some of your patrons are non inclusive, that’s great that you want to include everyone but I’m only reviewing my experience. Bartenders and management can only do so much, the environment is made up by the people in it, and I don’t have enough of an ego to keep up with that. I appreciate being put on blast on Instagram too, that really reflects your inclusivity. No hard feelings though, we’re all working through a weird...

I am deeply disappointed by my recent experience with Bumbo’s Bar. During my visit, I encountered behavior that I can only describe as discriminatory and unprofessional.

No one should have to endure racism or prejudice, and it was disheartening to see this behavior in a place where I expected fairness and courtesy. I hope that Bumbo’s Bar takes this review seriously and addresses the issues of discrimination within their establishment. As a customer, I believe it's essential that businesses treat everyone equally, and I won't be returning until I see a genuine commitment to change and a more inclusive...
Read moreI don’t know if I get the hype for this place at all. Of the handful of times I’ve been here, someone threw trash at our table (some gross patrons) of me and a few other girls. I’m assuming this was bigoted in nature as one of my friends at the table is trans… don’t know why anyone else would do that. Another experience at Hamtramck blow out and the girl running the door was being pretty flippant and rude regarding my friend who was very visibly ill in the restroom. I get it, it was a busy night but the whole thing was handled extremely unprofessionally especially considering we were worried my friend had maybe been drugged… of which again the staff didn’t really seem to care at all. I guess I’ll give the bar a few more shots because all my friends love it but yeah… have yet to...
