HELLO SHAWARMA RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Hamtramck

The food is good but they have messed up my order twice. The first time they brought the missing salad. This time We were missing bread from the salad. I called the response I received was that we make mistakes but you are to far to correct the order. They would give me a free salad. I asked how if I use Grubhub or Doordash they charge me before you deliver. He stated I had to order something else to get the free salad. Not happy at all. The service is going down and I also noticed the amount of lettuce used in their salads has gone down but I am being charged the same price. Use to look forward to my Friday salad with Hello Shawarma not so much now.

The very next day after I wrote the review. I received a call from the manager expressing his concern for my review. He then apologize and delivered a salad with everything to my job the next day. He stated that teachers work hard enough. Ever since that day the salads have been fresh and full. Several other teachers have begun to order as a result. After patronizing this business since August 2024 I just had one of the rudest experience on the phone and when picking up my order that I've ever had. While placing my order I was told to hurry up because they were busy and when I picked up my order my mango Lassi was made incorrectly despite saying on the phone this Lassi was to be made regularly. While waiting on my mango Lassi to be remade, a customer approached the counter to pick up an order. He was serviced by the same woman that I spoke to on the phone and interacted with in person. He was asked to select his drink and was immediately told, 'Hurry up and pick one.' At this moment I spoke up to the woman who appeared to be supervising the rude employee (she was providing feedback and guidance as the employee was ringing people up) and asked if this was an acceptable way for their employees to speak to their customers. The woman responded that she didn't work there and walked off.
