The food here in general is okay, nothing special about it. I've had a few different things on the menu but I have not tried everything here. Really, the reason I still come here is because of my girlfriend plus the food here isn't terrible nor is it great by any means; unless you ask my lady. The spring roll is mediocre, served with a sweet and sour sauce that's the same as what you can find on the sweet and sour pork at many Chinese restaurants. The fried rice is very plain, and very simple from what I've had. I don't recall if they have a house special where you can add protein to if or not. The pot stickers are good, it tastes like the basic premade stuff you can pan fry very quickly. Now for the pho, I find the broth to be very plain as well. I wouldn't say I'm a connoisseur of Pho but I've had pho from cities all over the United States. My mom makes great pho from time to time and I even know how to make pho myself. Sure I can make pho at home and not leave a review like I am doing so right now, but it's more so about spending time with my family without the hassle of cooking that means more to me. Anywho, one note i can give to everyone in Hanford is that good pho starts with the broth. If you don't have to add anything to the broth it's all good that does not include the chili sauce or Sriracha sauce. It's like good steak, if you have to add A-1 sauce to your steak then it's not a good steak. So the pho here is very plain, i do have to add soy sauce to it although i would prefer fish sauce to add in. The portion sizes are good in my opinion, the price is also reasonable to me as well. As a note, the size small and large usually doesn't mean you get more meat, it just applies to the amount of noodles you get. That rule usually applies to most pho restaurants as well. The amount of protein you get isn't really much here either, most places I go to they cut the beef meatballs in half but this restaurant cuts them into quarters which I finding quite strange. Vegetables for the pho are actually fresh every time I go, (bean sprouts, lemon wedges, Jalapeno slices and mint leaves) are served in plastic bags which is enough for each person. This I find pretty neat because most places serve them on little plates to share for table. What does stand out from the restaurant are the folks that own the place. These folks are very friendly and they are very prompt with their service. I can see they chat with their regulars a bit as well and that's usually a good sign of good customer service. Overall it's a nice place to get a quick bite, although i will say the food that I have had here so far, is very mediocre. It's good enough for Hanford for sure, but I know for other folks who've had Pho and other dishes all over the place like I have; this isn't the place that will drive us crazy. What I like, is that they have a good amount of variety and it's not confusing as your traditional Asian or pho restaurant where they have a overwhelming amount of dishes on the menu. Those other restaurants have dishes ranging in numbers from the number one to one hundred at times. It's a decent restaurant with great ownership and I know I don't love this restaurant at all but for those of you who have never been, who knows; this could be your new...
Read moreI love Happy Eats. The staff is so sweet. These past few months I have visited often but, my most memorable visit was 5/11/25. We wanted to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and brought in a small desert and candles to sing happy birthday. The staff noticed and shortly treated ALL OF US (not just the birthday girl, like most places do) with their delicious cake. They also gifted her 2 beautiful bracelets. On top of their sweet act of kindness the staff was on it. They made sure we had everything we needed and continually checked on us. The following visit we made they remembered us and parts of our order. Again, they were super sweet and I witnessed the staff (I’m assuming dad and son) roll a man in a wheelchair to and from the bathroom. They continually stopped by the door to offer him help. They’re just so sweet! The food is delicious and the amount is very generous. Highly recommend trying the honeydew smoothie. The butterfly wall is a great photo opp. The umbrellas are also such a beautiful touch of decor. I love it all! The staff, the food, the atmosphere is...
Read moreThe higher mark here is to consider that this place is superb for the area. I highly recommend the pho, it had a great flavor and the size was just right. The chow mein that I ordered was okay. It was made with spaghetti noodles. The thing to understand is it’s probably easier to get spaghetti noodles. I don’t see too many Asian markets in the area. Anyways the chow mein was decent, and they made it tasty enough. The one dish that blew me away was the calamari. It was twice fried. It was fried by itself and then stir fried a second time with jalapeños and onions with a black bean sauce. The calamari were crispy and tasty. I would get that again. But as far as the other stuff that I order, I would try something different the next time. But I would recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area. I’ll try the...
