So my wife and I decided to stop by to dine in on a Sunday 8/10/2025 for lunch around noon. This would be our second time trying out this business. We always like to support local business around the area, and today we regret coming in to support this business and I'll share our experience why.
Normally most restaurants along with who they employ as there workers/servers would be attentive to provide their customer/patrons with menus and water to their table. We waited approximately 15 minutes for a server to approach our table. After one of the servers when we entered the restaurant had asked us if we were ordering food to go or dining in. My wife said dine in and he said we could sit anywhere we like.
My wife and I waited another 10 minutes until she got up to the front area to order food, STILL no one brought us a menu. We ordered the "A6. Steamed Shrimp Spring Rolls", Two orders of "A10. Coconut Panda Waffle", C6. Korean Ribs Rice Plate" and One Pineapple Tea.
My wife paid for everything up front while we wait for our food to show up to our table. She told me the owner, Alex took all of our orders. We waited for about 10 minutes when the owner brought out the Shrimp Spring rolls. Then my Korean Ribs, Rice dish came out within another 15 minutes.
My wife went to check up front and spoke with management regarding our Pandan Waffles and Pineapple Tea? Management came back to our table to address that there were issues with their system, explaining to us that for some reasons the order for the ticket never show on their end and that they had no way of knowing the order came through. However we had the hardcopy of the receipt that we paid for all the orders. We showed him our receipt which we paid in full already and he took our receipts to verify the order.
Another 10 minutes goes by, still we haven't receive our complete order of the Coconut Panda Waffle and Pineapple Tea?! At this point we ended ordering one more dish but it would be to go. It was their P1. Pho Station Special.
I had just finished eating my Korean Ribs rice dish and shrimp spring rolls, still we didn't receive our waffles and drinks!? So while we were still waiting for the rest of the order, my wife went up front again to cancel our two orders of the waffles and Pineapple Tea. I was getting thirsty as well.
Since my wife was up front again she told the Alex that she wanted to cancel the other orders since we never receive them. Alex wanted her to pay the difference for the Pho. The owner requested $5 for the difference being paid. Crazy enough my wife left them a tip in their tip jar since we paid in full. If we would've known the type of service we would be receiving, she wouldn't had left a tip!
If it was me, for the business being a inconvenience and not providing quality customer service they shouldn't come across condescending and rude towards their patrons. We wanted to give them a benefit of a doubt but after the experience we received, and the not soo sincere apology after we left. I wouldn't recommend this business to any of my friends and family. Seems they care more about the profits & money then focusing on how they speak and their approach how they communicate with the patrons who dines in.
My tip for this business is they should retrain their employees on being more attentive, to assist with providing quality customer service to those looking to help out their business. I wish this business luck and hope no one else dealt with the frustration we have experienced today.
We would rather drive to Fresno or Visalia to get our crave for Vietnamese Cuisine. I was going to rate & change my star from a 5 starāāāāā to a 1 starā. Since the food was actually good, I downgraded it to a 2āā star because of the poor customer service and negative...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe large Bahn Mi photos on the outside of the building convinced me to stop in after errands and give it a try! I usually drive to Fresno for my bahn mi fix so i cant explain how excited I am to have a place available locally. I bought a vermicelli bowl, spring rolls, a special bahn mi, as well as one of their strawberry tea drinks to go. I walked up to the digital kiosk that is available for togo orders and was happy about the variety of dishes available. I think having photos on the kiosk and a full description of the dish would really help customers make their choice. They were out of strawberry popping boba but the cashier let me know quickly and i was able to get a different flavor boba added instead. The flavors of their dishes were really nice! My vermicelli bown meat had too much char on some pieces and some parts did have a burnt taste unfortunately, but I think thats something that will improve with time. My bahn mi was packaged in a plastic container instead of parchment paper and rubberbands like other shops. Overall deinitely going to be a staple in my weeks from now on. Next time I'm able to dine in, I'll be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was really excited when I heard that Hanford was finally getting a Vietnamese restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience left me disappointed.
The pho broth lacked the signature flavors that make pho what it isāthere was barely any trace of the distinct pho spices or fish sauce. It also didnāt seem like the broth had been properly prepared with charred onion and ginger, which are essential for depth of flavor.
As for the banh mi, it didnāt taste authentic at all. It was missing the usual balance of pickled vegetables, pate, and the right kind of bread. It was also odd to find green onions in it, which is not typical in a traditional banh mi.
On top of that, the service needs serious improvement. The servers were not very attentive or welcoming, and some seemed to be actively avoiding customers. The only bright spot was Violetāshe was attentive, helpful, and seemed to be the only one actually working during my visit. Shout out to her for doing her best in a tough situation.
Lastly, I do miss Happy Eats. I always enjoyed the music and the overall atmosphere there. The new placeās music is just okay...
