Truly THE WORST food ever. We are out of the area and needed to take food to my granddaughters boarding school in the area. My husband and son in law went in to order. Orange chicken sweet and sour pork Mongolian beef and general tso chicken lo mein vegetable chow mein, Egg rolls and fried wonton. They told my husband to order off lunch menu so he did except low mein and fried wontons. We were told 20 min and it took 35 min. When they finally got it done they asked for sweet sour sauce, hot mustard, hot oil and soy sauce. Plus, chopsticks. When they handed my husband the order they took the bag from my husband the cook was saying something to the counter person. She opened bags and said something to the cook and said it was good to go. We drove the 20 minutes to our location got me in since I am handicapped so takes a bit of work to get me anywhere. Got the now leaking everywhere cheap styrofoam containers. This is a sign to me after years as a restaurant consultant that there is no respect to the customer. It was a sticky mess! Opened boxes and we had a measly portion of sweet and sour pork and soggy egg roll. Orange Chicken swimming in goo that leaked every where and a cold soggy egg roll. General tso dry chicken and no flavor sauce and soggy crab ragoon. My enter Mongolian Beef was not there. Instead a shrimp dish (very allergic to shellfish so no clue) soggy egg rolls and no rice. Then the lo mein was a beef maybe curry that was in edible. So 2 of our dishes wrong. We had no hot mustard or oil. Which did not matter since $58 of food was horrible. When we went to call to complain they never answered the phone. I don’t ever post negative reviews on a restaurant. I know how hard they work. But this...
Read moreStopped at Jet's Palace traveling back from Iowa to Kentucky. Ordered Szechuan chicken to go. Down the road a bit, I started to eat my meal. I knew something was wrong on my first bite. Szechuan means spicy. There was no spice or usual red chile peppers cooked in the meal. Even worse was there was no Chinese seasoning to the dish. Just chicken cooked with a variety of vegetables so bland I dumped out at the next stop. Worst Chinese food I've ever had in 50 years. Called the cashier to ask if cook was new. She said the cook was not new. She was also not aware of what gives Szechuan food it's spice. The answer is not green peppers. Based on a 4.8 point review, one of three things happened here; 1. The cook had temporary amnesia while cooking my meal or 2. Reviews are not from customers or 3. Residents of Hannibal don't know the difference between Szechwan chicken from tasteless...
Read moreThis place is amazing! First of all, the food is hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. It’s always hot, fresh and full of flavor. I’ve ordered takeout twice from here now and yesterday I made a big order for pickup for my family and I. Staff was welcoming and nice as usual and even stopped me in the parking lot because they thought they had made a mistake and wanted to make SURE my order was right (which it was) I ordered the chow mein, (which is my favorite)crab Rangoon which was perfectly crispy I even ate 2 on the way home kung pao chicken, egg drop soup, fried rice, and some spring rolls all for around $50. love this place and definitely will continue...
